Body aching the day after workout, good or bad?!


Question: Body aching the day after workout, good or bad?
Yesterday I did a 25-30min cardio workout early afternoon and a mix of pushups, resistance bands and situps at night.

Today my body is aching. I took a Myofusion protein shake after the cardio, but forgot to take one after the night workout.

If I take a protein shake now will it still help repair and build muscle?
Is the aching a good thing or bad thing?

The aching is natural, its actually helping your muscles grow

Protein shakes are overrated, you probably get more than enough protein from your regular diet... save your money :D



Totally normal. Wait until the muscle stops aching before you use them again or protein or not your muscles won't develop.

Also, personally I love the ache after a workout. But if you don't eat a lot of tomatoes. they have a naturally occurring ingredient called lycopene which helps to prevent muscular aches after a workout. The health benefit of Lycopene is more apparent in cooked tomato's.

PLEASE DON'T USE THE SAME MUSCLE GROUP WHICH IS ACHING UNTIL IT STOPS. I CAN'T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. VARY YOUR WORKOUTS. PEOPLE TELLING YOU TO KEEP WORKING EVEN WHEN YOU'RE ACHING ARE PUTTING YOUR HEALTH AT RISK.

oka protein doesnt help you recover, at all! protein is a food supllements that help you build more after workouts.

aching is a good thing it shows you did something right in your workout try streatching before workoing out if you dislike the aching.

to the people who said protein is overated. you need 1.5 grams of protein for every kilogram that you way if you way average person is a 170 lbs or 77 kilograms that means you need 115 grams of protein daily...i litre of milk has about 35 grams of protein so by our logic you need 3.2 litres of milk daily and people get that anyways? ofcourse considering that you get proteins from other sources but its still not enough to supplement muscle growtih. always ake protein when your trying to improve your body
