About 6 years ago, I weighed about 270 lbs. I'm 6 ft 3 in, BTW. I was in very poor physical condition at age 40.

I stopped drinking all soda/gatorade/sugar drinks, and started drinking at least 100 oz of water per day, starting with 20 oz as soon as I woke up.

A month later, I started walking about a half hour a day, and slowly increased to about 45 minutes a day.

Another month later, I stopped eating deep fried foods like french fries, and started focusing on getting 5 servings of vegetables a day.

I steadily lost weight until I got down to about 210 lbs. I still do those few simple things. I'm not skinny by any means but I've maintained that weight for several years and feel good.

Cycling has worked for me. I got back into it 7 or 8 years ago after a long absence. I started just to get back in shape, the weight loss was just a bonus. I went from about 235 pounds to about 180 within 8 or 9 months and have maintained my weight since.

Nadia sawalha's fat to fab work out, and ate less sugar and more fruit and veg. Took a while but got there eventually

p90x.try it
