Take things slowly at first. Let's say you eat two bags a chips a day and 3 sodas. Reduce the chips to 1 bag and the soda to two, or replace them with snacks like carrots or other vegetables. After you get use to doing this, reduce it again if you wish.
Make sure you get plenty of exercise each day, at least an hour. Just walk or jog around the neighborhood, or swim, especially doing breaststrokes or the butterfly, because they burn a lot of calories. Try drinking mainly water, and maybe some milk that's 1% or skim.
Make sure you have balanced meals. Do not skip breakfast or any other meals, because then you will eat way too much later in the day. Also, whenever you eat, try to reserve the eating at a dinner table or some sort. When you eat in front of the TV, you are tempted to eat more.
Sometimes you eat a lot but then you are still hungry? It takes about 20 minutes for the food you eat to reach the part of your body telling you that you're full, so try to eat slowly.
Also, check the nutrition labels on foods. It is very important to check the SERVING SIZE and the SERVINGS PER CONTAINER. The bag may say 150 calories, but that's per serving. If the serving size is 1/4 a bag, and you eat the whole bag, then you're eating not 150 calories, but 600.
How many calories are you supposed to eat a day? That depends. If you are very active, 2500-3200 will help you maintain your weight. If you are not, keep it around 2000. Since you are trying to lose weight, I'd suggest bringing it down little by little until it's between 1500-1800 calories a day, and exercise often.

There are many ways to lose weight. If you need help keeping track of how much you take in, go to this website.

www.mypyramid.gov

Look under SPOTLIGHTS and click interactive tools. Click food tracker. Go to access your food intake. There you go. It may ask you to make an account. After you've made one you can sign in.

Good luck! It may take a little while to lose some weight, but in the end you'll be happy as long as you work hard.

eat proportional thats a really big part of things, dont stop eating because then your body makes more fat to keep you from starving......and also ur lieing throughb ur teeth....get a scale and weigh your self then write it down where u will be able to see it on the back off food packages you will see the nutrition thing and in there will be how much your supposed to eat and only eat that much you wont feel hungry trust me but you wont feel full you will be statisfiyed, eat only friuts and veggies dont eat any meat, meat weighs alot in your stomach take at leased 1 hour of your day to exersise if not more then in a week weigh your self again then do this evry week all week once you get to your ideal weight dont stop doing this you will just gain all this weight back keep evry thing up make a rougtien out of it
this WILL help im positive

K sorry, but first its weight/weigh.
Start being more active. Play sports, or pick up games of football/basketball around town. Start swimming at least once a week for 30 minutes then after two weeks increase to 2 times a week for 30 minutes. After a month, you should be swimming at least 3-4 hours a week. Seems like a lot, but its not. Eat healthy, No cokes, fried foods, junk food, or fatty food. Water, juice, and tea, but mainly water. Take your lunch to school and pack a healthy lunch. Grilled chicken and veggie medley. (just an example.) You must be active, and stay healthy, but your main go is to have to will power to do that all.

eat healthy!!! stop eating junk foods! if you switch you junk food to fruit and veggies, you are sure to lose weight! also if you cant get a pass to the gym, just start walking each day instead of watching tv! if you are really committed you should lose the weight! (oh and let your family know how you are feeling and maybe they will help you!) good luck! hope i helped!

You're lying, you don't eat healthy and exercise everyday.
If you did, you would'nt be 289lbs.
So actually get off your butt for atleast one hour a day
And do some high intensity workout, such as a workout DVD
And only eat fruit and veg, and white meat.
No rice, pasta or bread or cereal or diary.
You got alot of weight to shift.

You need to do exercise and eat healthy foods (you can look on the internet on what to eat). Best types of exercise are swimming (which is probably the best), running long distances at a steady pace, cycling and walking. Walk to school. Take up a sport i.e. football, soccer

if you are exercising properly and have a healthy diet then you should be losing weight. i suggest you talk to a doctor about this. it could be the case that you have some kind of glandular problem. or it could be down to your metabolism slowing right down due to your weight.

If you eat well and exercise and you can't lose weight you should see a doctor, if not to help you slim down to make sure you don't have a medical reason.

You need to excercise if you have weight training at your school take the class...run/jog every day, swim, ride bike, eat healthy

Too many pancakes, thats your problem..
