Question: Is this okay for a girl?
I'm a 15 1/2 year old girl and I'm around 5"7 (1.70m). I weigh 118 lbs (54 kg). Is this a normal weight? I'm trying to lose a little weight but school takes a lot of my time. I do sports with my school once a week and I try to jog or go swimming as much as I can. I'm not trying to lose a lot of weight, just a bit. Any suggestions considering I have very little time? Thanks!

You DO NOT need to lose weight. None. Not even a little.



In complete honesty, trying to lose weight would be a very poor decision. In fact if you're athletic, you should be heavier.

First off, super skinny people don't have much energy. Meaning if you want to lose more weight, quit your sports. They'll make you heavier.

Secondly, muscle weighs more than fat. If you play sports, you're going to have muscle, you're going to weigh a little more than you may want. But it's not a bad thing.

Thirdly, being too skinny is often more unattractive than being overweight. Just remember that ;)



The normal range for your height is : 119-160 [BMI 18.64-25.06
You are : 118 [BMI 18.48
Which means : You're underweight.

Overall : Loose 5 more pounds and you will be freakishly underweight and almost anorexic.

i would kill to be your height<3 tons of supermodels who weigh the exact same as you and height look amazing!
