Why do people shun bananas?!


Question: Why do people shun bananas?
Are they seriously THAT fattening?

Answers:

because they are higher in calories/sugars etc than alot of other fruits so people tend to stay away from them.

which is stupid, because bananas are probably one of the BEST fruits for you out there - as long as you eat them in moderation. they have tons of iron, potassium, vitamins and they taste great too. they shouldnt be shuned out because they are great - just dont eat like 217831284637284 in a day...



I limit my fruit intake (1 serving per day usually) because of the sugar/carb levels in them and just substitute more different lower-carb veggies into my diet instead. Radishes, for example, have as much potassium as bananas do.

Excessive sugar/net-carb intake is what causes all fat weight gain and almost every other dietary chronic health condition, so it's prudent to limit your intake of them to reasonable levels (less than 100-150g per day).

Besides, your body needs more natural, healthy fats (including saturated) than it does anything else (including protein), to be lean and healthy (and those fats are what your body runs on for energy/sustenance instead of less-healthier sugars/carbs,if you are eating properly).



Bananas are good for you. The only thing is they're high in natural sugar therefore carbs



In moderation they are fine as part of a healthy varied diet.
