Muscles aren't sore after working out?!

Question: Muscles aren't sore after working out?
Hello, my friend and I began training for a triathlon on Monday. Every day this week, we've been to the gym both running and swimming. Each time I've run anywhere between 3/4 mi - 1 1/2 mi. and swam between 200yd.-500yd. (taking periodic breaks, of course...I'm super out of shape)

The strange thing is, my muscles aren't sore at all! And I'm not an exerciser by any stretch of the imagination...I've never gone running before Monday and I just learned how to swim (with technique) in November.

Am I not doing enough? I realize the point of working out is not to be sore, but I just thought that my lack of soreness is strange.

maybe u need some more weight training to be sore.. and stimulate the muscles..
to break down muscle tissue..

but soreness comes and soreness goes..
as well.. if your eating alot of proteins... that can make you recover quicker.. less sorenss.

no pain no gain, and thats my motto

i dont care what people have to say, if im not sore the following day, im sure a h3ll doubling my workout the next day. i gauge how much i workout by how sore i am,

so if i were you, id push myself way harder than i already am.

It all depends on your body. I suggest increasing a little and see how it goes. I do weght lifting, but i lift for explosive power so i understand what eng sore is all about. Just keep increasing a little each day.
