Weight loss advice for 14 year old girl?!

Question: Weight loss advice for 14 year old girl?
I'm in eighth grade, and I'm 5'1" and 130 pounds, and going up quickly. I've been trying so hard not to make excuses to work out but it's so hard when I'm trying to keep my grades above a 3.5 and maintain a social life with my friends. When I can squeeze in time around that, I'm too tired to do a very good job. I tried going to bed earlier (I go to bed at 9:00 and wake up at 6:45) but I'm still so tired throughout the day.

When I find a good time to though, I quit when I run or about Zumba for about five minutes. Something frustrates me and makes me feel like it's pointless. I think to myself "what do I do once I'm healthy? What's the point?"

What can I do to get me into exercise so I don't think of it so negatively? And what can I do so I'm not so tired throughout the day?

How to motivate yourself to exercise.

1. Do it with a friend.
Statistics tell us that people who exercise with a friend are more
successful at exercising consistently. You can keep each other
accountable. Knowing that someone is waiting for you to exercise with
them can be great motivation to show up and get it done!
2. Do exercising which you enjoy. For example, you find running
boring. You can replace it with any other cardio activity: roller
blading, playing badminton, tennis, bicycling burn a lot of
calories, and you feel more like you are having fun, than like you are
punishing yourself for that extra doughnut.
3. Choose music you like, dynamic and vigourous, to make it more
pleasant.
4. Check regularly with your clothes, see how they become bulkier,
whoop from joy, photograph the progress and create a photo gallery on
your computer.
5. Set fitness goals, independent on weight loss. For example, say to
yourself "Next time, I will run quicker, and it will take me only ten
minutes to do so", or such. You will feel like a real athlete,
preparing for a big day. Keep a journal of your athletic achievements.
6. Compete. Enrol into a local amateur tennis competition, for
example. This way, you will have a goal to achieve, which is different
from your weight loss, and you will have people to impress and you
will have to be adequate, so you'll try harder.
7. Reward yourself (but not with food, you will end eating more than
you burned, and will become disillusioned quickly). Invent a set of
rules for yourself, for example: every time I am not feeling like
exercising, but do it, I will put 1 dollar in my piggy bank, every
time I achieve this or that goal - three. At the end of the month go
out and buy yourself the most impractical things you were craving but
denying yourself with this money.
8. Do not wait for some big moment or big day to start exercising.
There are spaces in your daily schedule when you procrastinate - fill
them with activities. For example, instead of sitting on the couch,
saying "It does not matter, I am going to the gym the next day", get
off and do a series of push ups, or skip with the skipping rope (buy
it for one dollar in one dollar store), walk down the stairs at work
or around the block at your lunch break. This way, you are exercising,
fighting boredom, and do not have to sweat in the gym for hours
afterwards. This random 7-10 minutes activities will roll at the end
of the day into a full gym session!
9. Use "I will show them all" technique (sparingly). Think about the
mean people who teased you, the girl who refused to go out with you, a
sneering sales person in the clothes shop, imagine them all, and "show
them" - run fast, kick high, and end being and feeling gorgeous!

Jump rope... it's really fun if you jump to the beat of some music. I'm 15 and I do it all the time... now I weigh around 103 pounds. :)

1. I don't know how you can sleep at 9pm - its impossible 4 me
2. before you go to be try to do something small like several sets of situps ( not totally garuteened to work, but it's worth a try)
3. find substitutes for the food you normally eat
4. cardio is the best thing for weightloss
5. exercising helps you somehow not want to eat and helps you get through the day energy wise
6. psychlogicaly, push yourself to do some sort of excercise like when you run, just think, a little more, or one more lap.
7. play a sport and work hard at it. chances are, you'll end up doing a lot of stuff like conditioning

Since you are so tired, you might actually have a medical problem. Go talk to your doctor and request a blood test. It could be a thyroid problem. Eat 3 meals a day with no snacks. Drink lots of water. Wake up at 615 in the morning. Stretch then do some crunches and jumping jacks. Run and walk some laps after school with some friends. Join a sports
team. Join a gym. Do gymnastics. Dance. Join ballet. It is never too late to learn. Stretch and do some crunches and push ups at least an hour before you go to sleep at night. While you are studying or watching tv, sit on your bottom, touch the bottom of your feet together and do a butterfly motion. Oh yeah, and with the push ups, start out with two sets
of 3 if you can't do many, and add one every night. It will add up quick and show results. You might not lose much weight, but you will gain muscle and tone and stamina. Just remember to drink plenty of water and keep your confidence up. Guys don't like anorexic girls either. You really aren't a bad shape. Good luck!

i had the same question last summer and it seemed like nothing worked. i finally found something called the HCG protocol. it sounded too good to be true, but i thought i'd give it a try. best decision I've ever made!!! i went from 210 to 180 in three weeks with no exercise. what it does is trick your brain into thinking your starving to death, so you burn up to 4000 calories a day from fat stores alone!!! i'm not going to lie. its a strict protocol, but the homeopathic supplement suppresses your appetite! the link below will bring you to the website were i ordered mine. there is a free facebook like community where you can talk to others on the protocol as well. good luck!

First of all, good news for you! You can easily slim down and much faster than any other age group as you have the highest metabolism rate. You only need to note three things; Diet, Exercise and Motivation.

On Diet, you need the most nutrient during this period. What you eat will determine your health and physics for the rest of your adulthood. That means, if you don’t slim down during this period, you are likely to get fat always in your adulthood. Also you will likely to be sick easily for the rest of your life. You need to have a balance diet with the correct food like protein, fats, vitamins, etc. (Ladies, if you eat too little, you are likely to have small breast and butt for life). You can’t to be choosy on food. Refer to the blog at the end if you don’t know what you need to eat.

Exercise is at this period, you are able to lose weight fast and develop your muscle too. Exercise every other day for 30 ~ 45 minutes, 3 times a week. Left one day for rest. Cardio exercise like jogging swimming, dancing, aerobics, etc are good to reduce fat fast. Hula loops are good for tummy; others exercise that targets at different part of the body can be refer to the blog at the end of the page.

Lastly, is your will to slim down. You can all set goals to lose weight. But if you did not have the will or you left the goals unchecked. You are unlikely to succeed although you are in the high metabolism group. Also at the blog, you can find ways how to encourage yourself to achieve your goal setting.

I used to be 185 lbs, I manage to lose weight to 125 lbs in a short time and maintain a healthy 133 lbs for many years.

Cheers!
