How to not be emberrased about excercising?!

Question: How to not be emberrased about excercising?
I'm only 14 and i have to tone my body up. My legs and arms are "flabby" lol, if thats the correct word. Like, when i walk i "jiggle" (my legs) and since spring break is coming up and summer is almost here i am going to wear a bathing suit, i dont wanna look bad. And as for my arms, whenever i put my arms at the side (like normal) i can see the "flab" sticking out. Its not like its EXTREMELY bad. I am 5'3 and weigh 116 or 117 pounds. And its emberrasing for me to work out because my mom thinks i'm okay, but i'm not. In fact, i wanna go jogging right this instant around my neighborhood. But its weird because no kid, nor teen, walk or runs around here, so it would be so wrong and weird. They'll be like "a kid running?" please help me on how to boost up my confidence.

Just do it. It will feel silly at first but after the firs time you will feel okay about it.
You are doing something to benefit you, not them. Try to get a friend to go jogging with you.
If you feel shy, ask your mom to take you to the beach and jog there.

If you can afford, get a gym membership, because at the gym everyone is there for the same reason.

I know how you feel lol. I'm 15, and started working out at 14, last summer. You NEED to focus on YOUR goal of losing that weight, and not pay attention to people. Once you lose it you will be so thrilled and ignoring people would have payed off. If you're really that uncomfortable, take a friend along! And you're at the age when looks DO matter to you more than ever, and being in shape is also important, so forget them!

if your feeling self concious think about how not self concious youl feel when you lose weight. its your goal your gonna have to overcome some obstacles

Just think about the fact that while everybody is being lazy and fat just sitting around, you took the initiative to adapt a healthier lifestyle and be active...Almost none of my friends workout and it honestly just makes me feel so much healthier. and your question is kind of controversial! You dont want to look bad in front of other people..yet you dont want other people seeing you work out. You have to choose one or the other, and in my case working out is the better option. Think about how youre gonna look after it all =] Good luck!!
