It can't hurt. Diet is the cornerstone to losing weight. I've recently lost almost 100 pounds and changing my diet was a HUGE part of it. There are tricks to it that can really help. If you eat 6 or 7 small meals a day it helps to spike your metabolism which aids in weight loss. Also, make sure to eat your first meal of the day as soon after you wake up as possible. Get lots of fiber and stay away from high fat and high carb foods. If you're going to exercise you should also do that as early in the day as you can to get your body going. After you exercise your metabolism kicks into a higher gear for the day. If you workout at 7am you will burn more calories sitting watching TV in the evening than you would have if you hadn't worked out.

1> Stay active, raise your heart rate everyday. Walking for half an hour is a pleasant way to do this.
2> Eat less and make better choices about what you eat.
3> Eat less at every meal but more meals per day.
4> Make sure to get proper nutrition. A good multivitamin is a good idea when you are trying to lose weight.
5> Go; for lean protein; chicken, turkey and fish are all fantastic choices.
6> Lots of veggies, they have great nutrition and are packed with fiber
7> Weight training is the best way to lose. Every pound of muscle in your body will burn 50 more calories per day than a pound of fat so the more muscle you build, the higher your metabolism will be and the quicker you will lose fat.

Just be careful. If you're going to workout seriously you should do so at a gym to start. Get as much advice from the trainers as you can. If you can afford to get a personal trainer I highly recommend it. Mine is fantastic and has been key in helping me to reach my goals.

Let me tell you a secret and if it doesn't work call me a looser. The secret is all in the diet you take. Mostly the sugars you take. Sugar hear I mean carbohydrates. Carbs are broken down to produce energy. The energy is measured in kilojoles.

Carbs produce calories. In the body one calorie raises the temperature of 1kg of water to by one degrees. If you take more calories than your body requires what happens is this is stored in your body in form of glycogen in the liver and fat around your organs and body.

Now that we know the secret how can we loose weight?
Fast.. I mean miss some meals of the day. Don't miss breakfast though. When you fast your body tends to breakdown glycogen and fat stored in the body. You will notice you will loose about 4kg in the day. However what you loose is just the water required to form the bonds between the glycogen and fat. This water maybe gained if you eat more than you require in the next meal.

Yes working out will help. The plan you have will only work if you become faithful to the plan. Aviod fast foods since they contain saturated and trans fats which are bad for your heart and are stored as excess fat in the body.

Aviod sodas since they contain high fructose corn syrub which is 10 times more than having a class of pure table salt.

Keep your body hydrated since alot of water will be required to breakdown this excess fast. Now that you know my secret plz vote my answer.

I'd recommend a cardio also. Something as simple as doing jumping jacks for 5 minutes or jogging for 15 minutes. If you continue your cardio for 1 hour, you're burning mostly fat between 40-60 minutes of your workout. Here's an explanation about the importance of cardio and how it burns fat: http://www.fatburn.com/article_show.asp?…
You can also use this tool to determine what exercises you should do and for how long: http://www.fatburn.com/free_tool_activit…
And instead of just a few crunches and sit ups, I highly recommend this video. I do it once a day and after about a month I've seen major results: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWjTnBmCH…

Nothings pointless when it comes to exercising.

It might not exactly get rid of fat, but it will definitely tighten your stomach.

Squats
Running
Weights
Yoga
Jumping Jacks
Leg Lifts
Wall sits

Make up a routine that you can do everyday. Try switching it up a little, though.
If you keep it up, you'll lose weight, and tone your body.

:)

Not really. It helps but wont solve your problems.
This is what I have done. On black friday, I paid $150 for a treadmill (you dont need a treadmill you can just run outside). I started running 1 mile a dayand over a few months increased it to 7 miles over the last 10 months. Right now, I am running 7 miles in 60 minutes (3-4 times a week). I only drink milk and water (no juice or soda) My diet in the morning is NON instand oatmeal (with a cup of frozen fruit, cinnamon, and honey), and glass of 1% milk. At 11 am I eat 1/2 cup of walnuts. For lunch (1-2 pm) a can of sardines OR peanut buter and jelly sandwich. For dinner 1 lean chicken breast or salmon (i rotate) and Brown rice with frozen veggies. I eat this every day. About 12-15 large glasses of water. On friday nights I eat fast food or pizza. And on Sat, I eat normal peoples food. Sunday - Thur (strict diet)

I lost 15 lbs the first week. I went from 265 lbs to 180 lbs doing this over 10 months

It will help a little, but you will get more benefit from the healthy diet. Try to add some more exercises to strengthen your legs and arms to boost your metabolism. Push ups, lunges, and squats would be good. Wall push ups and wall squats might be easier to start out. Good luck! Your work will pay off!!!

Well it might aid you to lose wait, do this with a good diet and you should lose weight, taking vitamins might help also.

Me.

It won't really help you lose weight, sorry! Try taking a nice power stroll outside for 20-30 minutes 5 days a week! Keep up the healthy diet, also!
