Granola bars are healthy compared to candy bars, however they aren't exactly healthy. If you are on a diet I don't recommend it because anything processed has refined ingredients. Try eating a fruits as snacks (Applies, blueberries, or bananas).
Depending on the product, check the label for fat content. I don't eat them at all, as I don't eat processed foods. As far as your dieting, that is personal. It might take a while to find a healthy plan. Also, we don't know your starting point, or history. In general dieting is not recommended, but rather eating a clean diet is preferable to starvation and major changes. This is a process that could take a decade. There is just not enough information to conjure up a plan for a stranger. However, your doctor can help. Plus, there are thousands of books at the library.
