Can I still lose weight with cardio at an 80% Heart Rate?!


Question: Can I still lose weight with cardio at an 80% Heart Rate?
Ive been inactive exercise wise for 5yrs now. I’m about 22% Body Fat and want to lower it to around 12%. 2 of my main goals is to increase my breathing stamina and to burn fat. I know they say 60-70% heart rate burns fat off the fastest,

but walking or jogging slowly for an hour to keep my HR that low is boring and the more intense P90X cardio workout Ive been doing for the past couple weeks holds my interest better. It’s just that my heart stays in the 80% range most of the time, If 80% burn fat as well just a bit slower than 70% Im fine with continuing P90X. If im not gonna lose any fat at all because Im sticking to 80% Im willing to bite the bullet and do a less intense regimen.

And if I just have to wait another week or two for my heart to get used to P90 so that what requires 80% today requires 70% intensity tomorrow that would be splendid news from any out there experienced in this subject matter

with any elivated heart rate, you will be able to lose weight (since your body will be burning calories doing so).
