Question: Im 13 and I really wanna lose weight, can you help? (PLEASE help!)?
Im a 13 year old girl, my height is 5'4 and i weigh 135 lbs.
If I wanna lose body fat by running on the treadmill, how much could I lose? I know I'm only 13, but still. Summer is coming soon, and I want to be able to wear a bathing suit without feeling insecure..

Also, how long should i run on the treadmill? How much could I lose in a week? Thanks everyone!

alright, first of all you dont even NEED excercise to lose weight.
second, you need to change your diet.

start by drinking skim milk, low fat cheese, lean meats too. then start cutting out the junk food or limiting it. no chips, fries, ice cream (good but bad for you, dont worry we all love this stuff) chocolate is healthy though.. DARK CHOCOLATE only. not milk, not white.

anyways, start eating more chicken and veggies and fruits, these maximize wieghtloss.

as for the treadmil WALK. the longer you walk for, the better. go for an hour every 5 days. go at a comforting speed, if you run, youll get tired to quickly and end up burning less. also keep your arms BY YOUR SIDE. when you move your arms up and down you actually burn fat where your breasts are (because the breast is made from fat tissue). maybe speed 2-3.

you could also try WII FIt, the bike, or dancing around in your room. all this burns calories and its not teh same boring thing over and over again.

anyways, you just keep doing what your doing. youll be OK. you 13 so you burn more calories than mos tpeople!!

If i were you id just make sure i was getting a hour of exercise each day. Even if you just go for a walk. When your on the treadmill go at a good pace. you dont wanna wear yourself out. try running for 10 mins to start and walk the rest.I mean if you can do more thats great but usually you have to work at it.

things you could do for a hour a day:
-go outside for a walk
-go on treadmill
-play outside
-do some stretches and jumping jacks and squats. then go on treadmill
-ect

Also make ssure your eating good food. thats the key.



there is no secret to it, really...

one has to eat healthy and exercise, all in moderation.

food: avoid sweets of any kind, eat one fruit a day (apple, banana, etc.), stick with lean meat (tuna, chicken breast, white fish) and rest should be vegetables. starchy items like rice, bread etc. should be used in moderation (2-3 slices a day).

drinks: avoid soda, just drink water (take a glass, before and after meal).
water is essential and many people don't take enough in liquid form, then over-eat to get their dose from food. water also helps transport things out of body and keeps you healthier. it also helps fill up tummy... (do not exaggerate!).

exercise: walk, run, swim, bike... 20min-hour a day will do a miracle. this gives you cardio, tightens muscles, etc. note that exercise works if you work on it, (not just drag your feet or stand there). good indication that you are doing it right is when your face gets more color and feels warm, you breathe faster etc.



eat fruits and veggies. and lean meat. liked baked chicken.

walk/run on the treadmill atlast 30 mins a day.

dont lose more then 2lbs a week.

I'm 5'3 & 145 but im also 21 and had a baby. :)



take up a sport running doesnt help much unless your moving your entire body im a weight trainer
