My sister has taken up jogging but says she wan't to give up?!
Question: My sister has taken up jogging but says she wan't to give up?
But then I remembered that when I first started jogging I couldn't even do 30 seconds and I got angry with myself but I just carried on going until eventually I could go on for hours.
So was I right about the fight or flight syndrome, or is it just about getting fitter and training your body.
Answers:
She needs to get into better shape. People underestimate how hard it is to jog, because it's one of those typical "well, just go jog or something!" kinds of exercises. But it took me months of training to be able to run, and I still find it hard. Meanwhile, I NEVER prescribe jogging to a client who's just starting up... it takes an experienced client, who WANTS to run. If they ask for it, I will put it... but only if they are ready.

no jogging has everything to do with being in shape. the more in shape you are the better you can jog and longer. i would start out by stretching first then power walking for a little bit and then jogging. doing squats or anything that works out your legs will help you get in shape enabling you to jog longer
I guess what ever works for you. But setting attainable goals small one then push yourself. Set another one and so on. A running buddy would help. Its harder to let someone else down by canceling than yourself.
