How do you continue your workout when your muscles are sore?!


Question: How do you continue your workout when your muscles are sore?
During my workout today my legs were burning and sore. This is my third day of starting the gym so I know it's normal to have pain, but how do you work through it?

Answers:

When you exercise you hurt your muscles. If you rest the muscles heal and become stronger. Since you are starting something new you should give your body time to adapt. Working through it good give you an injury.

If I spend 5 days exercising I make the most progress after 2 days rest. This is because my muscles need the extra time to fully recover. Do not exercise more than 2 days in a row until your body has started to adapt to your new routine.

When your muscles are sore you should rest so your muscles can recover, do not work through it otherwise instead of gaining strength in your leg muscles you'll weaken them.
