Weight Loss- any advice (plans/diets? etc)- HELP!?!

Question: Weight Loss- any advice (plans/diets? etc)- HELP!?
Hi everybody,

I've been gaining about 10-11 pounds this year. Every year since I was little, I gain at least 10 pounds. I know that's very bad. The only year which I haven't gained weight, and actually lost 10 pounds was last year in 8th grade,I barely ate school food (which was good for me) Also, I consumed only good foods at home. I was REALLY determined last year to lose the pounds, which I did XD

But right now, Im really fearful because I don't want to keep gaining and gaining, and becoming more unhealthy. I was 165 in beginning August, and later became 170-175 pounds and im only 5'5. I don't know if that is a really bad thing, but I want to ATLEAST lose 30 pounds by the end of next year, my sisters graduation party.
When I was in 5th grade going to 6th, I lost 12 pounds in a week. I was also a little chubby during that time, but I still lost the 12 pounds. I knew I can do it, and I did to it.XD Im a VERY determined person, and I know I can lose the pounds. I actually don't think Its a bad thing? (:
I REALLY do like the fact that Im at least attempting to lose a few pounds, and I even do when I set my mind to it. I find it very successful if I just lost even 10 pounds. But right now, Im reaching to lose 30 pounds until next year May- my 2 sisters Graduation Parties. These parties mean alot to me, and I know it will be very hard trying to find a dress for me, if I keep gaining and gaining weight, So why not start NOW, and try to change my life u know? I want to remember those days next year as awesome memories. *BTW: I also wanna be comfortable in my dress, not the other way around ^__^
And, its not just for my sisters grad. parties, but I want to make this life change for myself. I don't want to be on a road of sicknesses, diabetes (both parents have it) or blood sugar, obese, etc but I think with my weight at only the height of 5'41/2 - 5'5, Its a pretty bad weight. :/

I want to make a life change for myself. I want to change now! (: Who ever is out there, knowing what I need, or is going through the same thing I am, I need to know what I should do to accomplish this goal for losing 30 pounds baby! :D
*Also, I am a freshman student in high school, so I don't really know anything about a weight loss plan and "life style change". Im taking PE next year, so I hope that could help me too? Also, that is why I came to yahoo answers, because I know at least, someone out there could help me, give me advice on what lifestyle changes I should so to lose weight..( does that make sence o.0 lol)

What types of food I should be eating until next year may?
What type of exercising should I do until -------> (above listed)
What types of food I SHOULD NOT eat?
Also, if anybody knows anything that I should do that I didn't mention, Id greatly appreciate it if you an tell me what it is.
Again, THANK YOU ALL! (:

First off, don't stress! The big "secret" is not to have too many carbs, and to completely ignore the media, particularly when they say fat is bad. Fat is your best friend.

For exercise, I'm assuming you'll be doing cardio, which is fine. I also recommend calisthenics, like pushups and situps (actually, look up alternatives to situps because many work better and don't damage your spine). I'm going to recommend 20 mins running 3 times a week, with calisthenics, both should be done in morning, I recommend running first, because it's exhausting, experts say the opposite. Do what you prefer. Do calisthenics 5 times per week. If you can't run 20 mins, run as much as you can, and add a minute to your time each week (or something you're comfortable with). Just make sure it's substantial.

For food, 10-20% of diet should be carbs, 20-30% protein, and the rest should be fat. Start at the low end with carbs. If your body will let you get away with 10% go for it! But it may not. Your diet will make you tired while your body adjusts, you only have to make it through the first week. If you're still tired you probably need maybe 15-20% carbs, and likely more sleep. You will lose weight gradually.

Avoid high carb foods like ANY bread or grain derivative, grain itself, tortillas, chips, soda, beans, sugar and sugar substitues, You can always check the food label (except for sugar substitutes).

Beef isn't bad for you. So don't be shy, but hamburgers have ketchup and bread, both carby foods. Milk is good, say 1 glass per day. It has carbs, but its loaded with other good stuff. Make sure it's whole milk. Chicken is great, turkey is too, pretty much any meat. I like tuna, which is high in protein.

Eat your carbs before 3 pm, preferably after your workout as soon as possible (like within 30 mins).

Been researching it for mineself.
