Question: If i eat a big healthy breakfast in the morning will that decrease my chances of losing weight?
I'm a distance runner and i'd really like to lose at least 5 lbs to cut some time off that 3000m...if i eat a heathy breakfast that is big in the morning will that decrease my chances of losing weight....ex: 2 boiled eggs 1 peice of plain toast, plain oatmeal, peanut butter on bread and a grapefruit.....is that way too much?

Answers:

No!!! If you want to lose weight you have to eat a big breakfast! If you skip breakfast, that dramatically decreases your chances of losing weight. Experts recommend a big healthy breakfast just like what you eat in the morning!

Edit: Cut out the 1 slice of plain bread. You've already got grains with your peanut butter toast, you should really only have one serving of grains in your breakfast. But otherwise, peanut butter and eggs are excellent sources of protein and healthy fat, whole grains are very good for you, and grapefruits contain lots of vitamin C. The only thing I'd recommend is switching the piece of plain bread for a banana, potassium is very good for muscle growth.

There are more tips and info.

1. If what you are eating has less than 1 carb, count it as 1 carb just to be sure.

2. Totally avoid caffine at least for the first two weeks on the program.

3. Drink a MINIMUM of 8 glasses of plain water or seltzer daily.

4. Don't weigh yourself more than once a week

5. Take starting measurements as well as weight - sometimes you'll lose inches before pounds

6. Avoid any type of "low carb" sweetener for the first two weeks

7. Don't compare your loss to someone else's - this is a YMMV thing (your milage may vary)

8. Stalls are common around the third week so don't panic

9. If you follow your plan to the T and don't lose, consider Candida as a possibility and avoid vinegar, cheese, mushrooms and any other fermented food

10. Have bloodwork done before starting so you have a comparison

11. Cholesterol can be elevated in the first few weeks til your body adjusts - make sure your doctor knows that you're doing low carb and when you started

12. Don't blame the diet if you don't read your plan book -- blame the diet if you don't read the labels -- Don't blame the diet if you don't follow the diet
Good Luck and Take care :-)

Cut out processed carbs, which includes oatmeal and bread, among other things, such as sugar and corn syrup. Instead eat green vegetables (non-processed carbs) and lean protein.

i think thats good. ur mind is sick when u dont eat properly. I like the menu of yours!
