1000 Calorie Diet Plan?!

Question: 1000 Calorie Diet Plan?
Just need a little guidance here. I'm not overweight but I'm hoping to shed a little weight before the summer and my 18th birthday for when I go away with friends and am deciding to cut my calorie intake to 1000 calories for the next couple of months. I've decided that my meals will be of the following:
Breakfast- Bran Flakes or Porridge
Lunch- Salad, Soup or Sandwich
Dinner- Vegetables And Quorn
Snacks- Low Fat Yoghurts, Low Sugar Jellies And Fruit

Does this sound healthy enough in terms of nutrition for the next few months?

Hiya,

If you have 1500 calories a day you should loose weight sensibly and also it should stay off!
I used to do 1200 and that worked for me, but everyone accused me of undereating, so when I tried 1500 that worked as well.

Your meal plans look sensible, branflakes is a really good breakfast as it will fill you up till lunch!
Just make sure you are eating enough carbs and protein. Fruit is always good to include + dried raisins are a lovely sweet snack!

Try not to cut down too much, as you need enough calories to keep your matabolism going!
You may want to do some aerobics or exercise alongside which you will enjoy and make you feel better.

I hope this has helped!
If you are not overweight anyway I am sure you will be fine anyway.
Good luck with your healthy diet + more importantly have a good birthday!!!

1000 calories is a very low cal intake. If you weigh more than 120 pds, you should be considering a 1500-2000 intake with excersice. My experience is a 30min cardo a day and the same diet will make you look thiner and happier then cutting food intake to a minimum without excersie.

Try keeping the same diet you are on, but increase excersie. You will feel more hungery but refrain from eating that extra portion. The hunger is proof of your metabolism working. This way you wont spring back to your old weight.
