Is 3g of creatine a day bad for you?!


Question: Is 3g of creatine a day bad for you?
I'm bulking and my shake contains 3g of creatine per serving, and I'll be taking it until June, so is creatine bad for you?

Answers:

Not bad at all. Creatine in laymans terms can help you build size and strength by increasing water uptake into the muscle cells.

It can add additional water weight to your person which can give you the effect of bloating. If you are worried about water weight and bloating then I wouldn't recommend creatine supplementation

Despite the negative effects of bloating creatine is a safe and known effective supplement. It is actually one of the only supplements that actually has science to back up its claims.

When you start taking creatine there is a one or two week period were you must complete the "filing' stage and take 20gr a day. Then you drop to 5 for about 6 weeks and then stop for a month or 2 until you start all over again. If your 3 grams are inside an other supplement then you have nothing to worry about.
