Question: An anorexic/crash diet question?
How much weight does an anorexic, or a person on a crash diet loose? Like in a week. Not that I am, or plan on doing this, I'm just curious.

Answers:

A week? Not much can be lost in a week even WITH a crash diet. However, an anorexic or crash dieter may lose up to 30 pounds in a month, where 10 pounds/month is by far the highest possible amount of weight loss in one month for a normal person dieting.



Anorexia is an eating disorder, they will lose weight fast but it's more that they refuse to (or are afraid to eat).

Crash dieting depends entirely on the diet and exercise, but I would not be surprised if 30 pounds a month were possible (depending on starting weight).

Exercising and eating healthily as part of your normal life style is the most effective way to lose weight though. If you crash diet, you will lose weight fast but also put it back on much quicker (and find it harder to lose later on, not to mention the myriad of health defects that accompany crash dieting)

I suffered from anorexia for many years (16-24, I am now 28), in the first year I went from about 145 to 110, by the end of high school I was about 95lbs; my lowest weight was about 90-92. I was very, very ill and looked awful. Eating disorders are hell and destroy your body and your life. I'm now at a healthy weight of 115 (I'm 5'4).

You don't necessarily lose tons of weight in a week; anorexia, for me anyway, started out innocently; I wanted to get in shape and lose a bit of weight and ended up going much to far. It is an intense psychological disorder with dangerous thought patterns that can be very easy to slip into and very difficult to get out of.

if calories are under 1000 plan on a lb a day.More than that the first few days.But the trick is to have a one or two day binge and eat everything in sight then go back to very little calories.It really throws your body off and you will lose like crazy after the binge.The day after your binge the scale will have a higher number but at the most two days after the binge You will really see the weight come off.I do this all the time I binge on weekends and eat very little all week by wednesday of the following week I will have lost about 5-6 lbs a week.Don't care what any one says this is what I do and I promise it works.Also You just keep telling your self I don't want that cookie because on saturday I can have a pack of cookies.I will do this the rest of my weight loss.I have lost 60 lbs so far,then when I get to my goal weight I will still do it but eat a little more during the week to maintain.

These " Crash diet " plans are a load of rubbish. only people who need to uses them is body builders a week before a competition.

Depends on the person. if they where some 500lbs lard ar$e they could lose 50lbs in a week.

but if it was a girl who is around 100lbs and is 5'4" they could only lose a couple of pounds

depends on where they start at and if there working out or not.

IF someone starts at 160 at 5'4 and eat 500 or less and works out 1 hour a day could lose 5+ pounds a week.
If your 5'4 110 and your doing the same you'll lose maybe 2 pounds.

I lose 6 pounds (water weight) in 3 days drinking orange juice and running 2 hours a day. That ended VERY badly!



mmmmmmmmmmmm but if u were planning to do that drink loooooooots of water and lots :/
