And when it comes to Alli's answer the heart rate depends on the person, some person's heart rate may be stronger and therefore slower than others.



Treadclimbers burn most calories (look it up in a gym.)
And aerobics or other even paced exercises burn fat best. (Ie. A Long jog not a short run.)
Also, I think the tennis person added an extra 0. And I still doubt tennis could burn 900 and hour unless you went all psycho and insane. Exercise burns a tiny proportion of a days calorific intake, Most of it is burned by just being alive and keeping warm etc. Throughout the day. Faster metabolism means you burn more in a day, so I'd do muscle building exercises, the class may burn less calories initially than a cardio, but muscles increase metabolism. So in the long run, if the same amount of calories are eaten, you burn more of it and store less. Because muscle raises metabolism. Try to fidget throughout the day too. Spicy and cold foods also increase metabolic rate, (cold just needs warming up.)



Any kind of cardio that you like (I prefer the elliptical) that gets your heart rate above about 125 beats per minute for 45 minutes 5 days a week, and do at least half an hour of weight/core training at least 3 days a week. That schedule will definitely get you burning fat/calories really well. If you're not using cardio machines with built in heart rate monitors, just go buy a personal one. They are pretty cheap these days. Keeping the heart rate at a sustained fat burning rate for at least 45 minutes is really important.
