Question: I only eat around 300 calories per day, health risks?
Hey, I'm a guy, 16, pretty slim, i'm not sure what my weight is, but my waist is 26 inches.

I wake up, and I don't eat anything at all, I don't have breakfast, I don't have lunch. At around 6, I have a sandwhich and a piece of fruit. I counted the calories just know and it adds to around 300.

This is all I eat a day, it's not because I'm on any wierd diet, it's because I'm not hungry.

Are there any health risks with that? If there are, what can I do to improve? Because I don't feel hungry through the day.

I am hardly ever FEEL hungry but I know I have to eat several times a through out the day....too many health risk to leave a list here....but ur killing ur self ...u should eat at least 1,200 calories it takes at least 1000 to keep ur body running correctly ...ever hear when people have such a high fever they go demented FOREVER cause its like it fried there brain....similar thing with not eating...if u want me to go on please email me



Yes, you are not getting the right amount of food groups (malnutrition) and you aren't eating enough (undernutition)...
Malnutrition is the lack of specific nutrients that cells require to do the various body processes and could shut your body down
Undernutrition is just not having enough energy, but it depends on how much you do during the day, etc. It is bad because your body will begin to consume protein (or muscle) for energy, which is very abd for the body...
As far as you not being hungry that means your body doesn't require the energy or you have some sort of disorder, get it checked out... if you are going to keep this way, try to add all the food groups... Have like a hamburger with tomatoes and lettuce with a side of apples and some fries (yes, you need SOME fats to live) and a milk to drink... it is all about balance



300 Calories?
If that's all you're eating, you'll lose weight substantially and it will cause you're body to lose a lot of your muscle and fat. You could potentially become severially underweight if you do this for a long time...I'm trying to lose weight and tone up and i'm eating around 1200 calories a day!

Start eating more, just sneak in fruits, veggies and some meat if you can every where. 300 is way to little



Definitely not healthy. If you're not a vegetarian you should replace your fruit with a slice of meat. 300 calories is one tenth of what is healthy to eat a day. If you don't like meat then have dessert or something.



You can become anemic, or nutrient deficient.
You can faint durning times when having to perform strenuous physical labor.

Just try to eat more. Have cereal for breakfast and eat lunch.



Yes, anorexia. Im sure you now what that is, if not look it up.
You just have to make yourself eat, if not try exercising more this way you burn more calories and need to eat more.
