Did I lose too much weight?!

Question: Did I lose too much weight?
Hello :D I'm 15, 170cm (5'7), and 49kg (108lbs). I used to be 55kg (120lbs), and I went on a diet because of my tummy. I just checked my weight today. I did not go anorexic, I'm not bulimic. I lost the weight the healthy way. I exercised, had healthy meals, and didn't skip any meals.

I checked my BMI, and apparently I'm underweight. I'm worried I may lose too much weight. I used to be underweight when I was 10, and I put on weight. I don't want to be underweight, I find it unhealthy and freaky. I would like to be toned, and an acceptable weight. I am enjoying my diet and exercise, I find myself very self-confident now. I don't want to stop it.

I don't want to become too skinny. What should I do? Thank you <3

Answers:

How long did it take you to lose this weight? Are the meals you've been eating a sufficient size?

For 5'7 I actually think 55kgs is on the skinny side, but you may just have a tiny frame. at 49KG you must either have a very tiny frame or be unhealthily thin.

From person experience, I know my BMI isn't very accurate, as if I was as heavy as the higher weight for my BMI, I would be very overweight. It's a guideline, but it doesn't mean it will be accurate for you.
It would be better for you to ask family and people you trust what they think about your weight, but don't make it an obssession. Probably better to avoid asking friends as (I assume you're a girl) 15 year old girls often lack self esteem and are very hypocritical of others. If they are saying you are too skinny then maybe there's a problem.

You may need to eat more if you're exercising more. Your body will continue to be toned from your exercise and you should actually gain weight from the muscle you build. You should be increasing your appetite from exercising more and if not make an effort to eat more.

Good luck

Edit: Is you mum a simliar build to you? If so, what does she weight or what did she weigh prior to having children?

I think it's really sad that your parents would suggest that to you. My Dad used to give my sis a hard time about her weight and now she has an eating disorder. You are perfect as you are.

hi there, I did have a weight trouble for many many years. I was taking all kinds of stuff. Until I stumpled upon this website, I had my doubts at first. There was little change for the first week, but I was starting to love it. After going through that initial stage, which was so uplifting, I started to develop good habits, especial my diet. I couldn't believe I didn't try this sooner. I hope this helps others out there: http://onlineloseweightshare.tk

I have been underweight all my life. There is nothing wrong with it as long as you are not obsessively working out or dieting. Just eat healthy and exercise and you will be fine. Don't worry about the numbers just worry about how you feel.

You're at the low end of the healthy weight range for your age and height. If you lose much more weight you will be considered underweight

No, you're fine for a 15 year old. Not too high, not too low. Just perfect. :)

That is too thin.....to me you should be around 55kg. but 55kg worth of muscle mass. not fats

just saying i wish i had your problem! and im sure your fine my frend is 5'3 and weighs 96 pounds and shes healthy(:
