How does weight gain occurs. ?!

Question: How does weight gain occurs. ?
Is it how much you eat or how you eat? Like say I have 3 lb salad and 1lb if fried chicken which be worse. The salad because it's more or the chicken cuz of the calories and such.

Answers:

eating more calories than you burn off will cause weight gain. it doesn't matter what you eat. a calorie is a calorie. you can overeat healthy foods as much as unhealthy foods. the fried chicken would be worse because it's fried. that can cause high cholesterol and other problems that have little to do with weight.

It's ALL about calories. The weight, appearance, texture, size, and state of the food doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is how many calories is in the food you eat. That's why counting calories, or at least having a good knowledge of how many calories are in the things you eat, is very important.

Eating more protein plus green vegetables keeps weight in check. If one is eating white bread, white pasta, white beans and cereal, then, the body will crave nutrition. Therefore, the salad without a fatty dressing, just dressed with olive oil and vinegar, without nuts or cheese, at a portion size which clearly is not three lbs. would be healthier than a portion of fried chicken. But a portion of poached, broiled or baked skinned, chicken breast should be healthy. This is a different way of eating that tosses myths about calorie counting in the waste basket.
