Could someone PLEASE explain the whole "body burns muscle instead of stored!

Question: Could someone PLEASE explain the whole "body burns muscle instead of stored fat" thing?
Like at what point does this happen, why? and just anything to help it make sense

cause it really confuses me

Answers:

the body does this because it can not just survive purely on fat, but it can survive on the nutrition in your muscles and the calcium in your bones. so you need to eat healthy so your body just needs some fat to survive so it will only burn the fat.all this happens when the body goes in starvation mode.

Well this is the reason why starving your self is bad. See when the body doesn't get enough nutrition and minerals, it starts to use up things that have been stored on your body; fat and muscle. Muscle acts more as a meat setiment and is better for your body to use up. At the same time it is using muscle to keep yourself supported, it is also taking fat.
