Is it true that walking helps to lose fat?!


Question: Is it true that walking helps to lose fat?
I have about 50 lbs to lose. I have been doing the elliptical and bike machines 2 or 3 times a week. Recently my friend told me that losing fat would be easier if I walked on the treadmill for an hour instead of what I have been doing. Does this make sense to anyone? I'm willing to try it, I just want to know if that has worked for anyone. Thanks :)

Yes, low intensity (walking) aerobics/cardio burns more fat than carbs. It is the time that matters. The longer you walk the better. High intensity aerobics, like running, burns more carbs than fat.
