Going to a party and on a diet?!

Question: Going to a party and on a diet?
Okay, so Im on a diet & I have a family party today.
There gonna have so much food there.
Should I take my own meal, like broccoli and chicken breast in a little container?
& What about the cake and everything, am I allowed one piece?

Don't worry about it!

One day of breaking your diet will not set you back far, assuming you're not eating 20 pounds of food in one sitting.

Leading dieticians say that when you're on a diet, having one day every couple weeks in which you eat whatever you want actually boosts your metabolism. Digestion burns calories, and if your body is used to eating fewer calories it will have to spin into hyper drive to digest the extra food.

If it's a one day party, I wouldn't make a big deal about it. Perhaps stick to your diet for the rest of the day, but once you're there eat whatever you want—though perhaps just keep an eye on your portions. Go back to your diet tomorrow and you shouldn't lose any less weight than usual this week.

also, remember to drink lots of water.

I would say today will be a test of your will. I think you can go without your meal in hand, just look for and eat a balanced diet when there, and have self control. Remember you cant always bring your food with you when on a diet, so learning how to survive outside of home is essential. Have Fun

Bank your food. Meaning: You hold off on calories all day, and don't eat junk at all and then when you get there you will actually need calories, so you will be allowed to pig out.
But the next day you must work off the bad food because either way it's bad for you. :)

Bring your own stuff in case and you can have a slice of cake ;) you need a balanced diet or it's a un healthy diet
