How is this anorexia?!


Question: How is this anorexia?
Doctor says I could have anorexia.

I'm 5'9 and 109lbs (just weighed yesterday, 2 weeks ago I was 112)

I do eat, I just count calories. I might be overestimating cuz I thought I ate a ton the past two weeks but I actually lost weight!
I do think I look fat, but I don't like see a fat girl. I see the ribs but also a fat back and belly...idk if that makes sense

Is it anorexia? I just dont think I look or act like an anorexic

You ideal weight is about 145lbs. You are seriously under weight.

I think what you are seeing as "fat" on your back and belly may just be under toned muscle. Instead of cutting calories, try exercise more...tone up those muscles, and you wont feel that they look so sloppy. In the meantime, if you are exercise more, you DO need to eat more. You will gain a little weight because muscle weights more then fat, so don't be alarmed by what the scales says.

Eat the right amount of calories for your body. To maintain your weight of 109lbs (assuming you are about 18, and exercise about 3 times a week), you need to eat as many as 1854 calories.

As far as Anorexia goes, it isn't a physical condition (it certainly has physical affects though), it's more mental. If you are 109, and still trying to LOOSE weight, then you may be anorexic. It is definitely something to discuss with a doctor.



Umm... I think you are but not realizing it. I know every girl has something they dont like about their body but how can you see ribs and have a fat back and belly? And why are you counting calories when you are underweight? Anorexia is mind controlling and most girls just dont realize how far and how serious it is and dont even realize that they are anorexia. Maybe not in your case but i would ask that doctor more questions and tell him what you told us.



counting calories is probably negative. Some calories are good, and some are not. Try to concentrate on healthy food. And being healthy. Breasts are mostly fat, and are part of being pretty.
