I want to walk a half marathon (14 miles) everyday but I'm overweight with !

Question: I want to walk a half marathon (14 miles) everyday but I'm overweight with back problems?
Do you think I'll be able to do it?

I am 5"3 and weigh about 210 pounds...

my calculations tell me I can lose 3 pounds a week if I do this but I don't know if that's true because I will need to purchase a lot of food when I'm doing this walk

Answers:

You could try the elliptical trainer, which is low impact and would be easier on your back. It would allow you to build up some strength, cardiovascular fitness and lose weight, while minimizing the stress on your body.

Hi,
this is where you need professional advice, I mean doctor's advice. In particular, because of your back pain.

Let me give you some food for thought: how about focusing on your nutrition from this point on? Just adding more water, fresh fruit and vegetables at the expense of processed and overcooked food will make difference to how you feel and how soon you start losing weight. This is something you can do right now, before starting the second part, which is - your planned walk.

Wish you luck.

Own knowledge.

Well - walk what you can - don't be delusional about it - you need to build up to it - and quit eating sugars.
