Question: How to gain weight?!?!?PLSS?
ok I really really need to gain weight, my bmi says that I am under weight.. as in 15.5 for a bmi
so can you tell me how to gain weight, but dont answer like, eat more food, if your gonna say that, say what kind of food..ex.banana..
jus so u noe i need to gain 20 pounds..

good to hear that someone actualy wants to gain weight!!

first you can figure out what your goal/healthy weght is, and then keep an eye out on your weight, to make sure you go up!

Try eating 5-6 meals a day.

Breakfast is important. whether its jsut toast with some buter or cheese on, thats good.
you could even go for milk and cereal and a banana,,

On weekennds, or when you have time, treat yourself ot a nice big breakfast, as you want to gain wieght.

Yoghurt with muslie and afruit?
Home made milkshake or smoothie using yogjhurt or ice cream!
Toast with nutella or peanut butter, or cheese or seomthing!
Oatmeal with peanut butter and a banana
Hot chocolate and cheese toasties
Bagel or muffin or scones
Pancakes or waffles!

^^^ just some breakfast ideas!!^^

Then try to have a snack before lunch time.

In school, the lunches arent always great, but try bringing with you then. maybe a sandwich, like a buagettue ora wrap or bagel, with something in it - cheese nad potatoe salad, tuna mayyonnaise, chicken salad, melted cheese, etc etc
and maybe some treat afterwards... can be healthy like a granola bar or some chocolate/yoghurt covered nuts/dried fruit.

Then its good to have a snack before dinner. (you want to gain wieght)

Dinner should be a proper meal.
- lasagna, salmon and potatoes, curry and rice, fried potatoes and chicken, meatballs, pasta bolognaise, sausages and mashed potatoes, soup and cheese sandwiches, woks, noodles, etc etc

and then, maybe another snack here, but that could jsut eb dessert.

I mean, you dont have to eat unhealthily to gain weight. you can eat normal, healthy food to gain weight, but of course now and again would be good.

Snack ideas -
Thers junk food, like chocolate, ice cream , crisps, biscuits, doughnuts, muffins, cake etc etc

Healthy options -
granola bars
flapjacks
muslie bars
cereal bars
yoghrut adn cereal(or muslie)
fruit salad
hot chocolate
sandwiches
small pots of yoghurt
chocolate/yoghurt covered nuts/dried fruit
nuts
dried fruit
fruit smoothie/milkshake
vegetables with dip
dried banana chips

etc etc

of course add things like extra oil, cream, butter to your meals. and try drinkin milk, its a good source of protein!!

You can also try drinking energy drinks for a while, they might work.
Or make milkshakes or smoothies using cream, or ice cream!!
eat like sandwiches using peanut butter, as its a healhty fat! and go for seconds, if you can fit it in!!!



20 lbs is a lot.
If you're just naturally like that, then there's no need to gain that much weight
It's okay if your BMI is slightly underweight though, you don't have to go tipping the scales on average-overweight

Don't eat junk food
Eat a lot of meats, fish, and natural forms of sugar, like grapes, bananas.
Eat nuts, I personally love honey-coated peanuts



if you are struggling to eat more solid food, because it makes you feel full too quickly, try drinking 1 litre of milk a day, and slowly work your way up to drinking about 3 litres a day. milk is fairly cheap, and is packed full of calories. nuts are also a calorie dense food, which are great for packing on weight. even stuff like peanut butter.



Workout a lot! Sounds weird but you will gain muscle , also eat healthy but wholesome foods, example whole milk with your cereal, and lots of meat and dairy
