How should I lose weight?!

Question: How should I lose weight?
I'm a 12 year old girl. I went to the doctors in November for my checkup and they said I was 10% to being overweight. Well, after the months went on I got weighed and I gained a few more pounds! I really want to lose weight for the summer. What's a good excerize plan and a eating plan for a 12 year old girl?

My dog is overweight too, And he needs to lose 20 pounds so I'm gonna add him into the schudel. Lol. If I go for walks I'm gonna take him so he can lose some weight.

I'm a VERY picky eater. It comes from my mom...I'm like her but even WORSE! I hardly like any
meats, Except chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers, chicken pattys, wings and ribs. I HATE seafood. Except for fishsticks...Ahh the good ol' fish as sticks. Vegetables...NUH UH! I only like lettuce (With LOTS of 1000 Island Dressing on it and crutons and cheese) and corn on the cop (Loaded with salt and butter..). I don't think I like any fruit except for Pineapples. Those are the best. You're probably asking now what do you eat than? Well....Junk food most of the time :)

Now what should I eat and how much should I eat everyday?
How should I excersize to lose weight?

Hi there, Being overweight at age of 12 is not good, if not dangerous. But again, as you are young, your metabolism should still be quite quick. That should make your fat loss easier if you could stop eating junk food and start exercising properly.

First of all, you need to find out a physical workouts plan that fits you best. Not sure whether you have belly fat or not, if yes, this website specifically shows you how to flatten your tummy and burn fat. ---- www.loseweightnaturallyfast101.com

Then of course, you need to change your diet: Ditch junk food as much as you can, start eating foods that can boost your metabolism, foods that can help you lose weight. I remember seeing some articles on what foods to eat to assist weight loss on this site: www.loseweightnaturallyfaster.com (they have some articles on how to lose weight fast in a natural way, including what to eat.) I started adding acai berry powders into my three meals after seeing their articles on acai berries and weight loss. Now I feel hungry less times but more energetic. As I started just now, not sure about the fat loss effect yet, but it should help in the long run I believe.

So effective exercises + sensible diet should help you burn fat gradually.

Hope that help.

Good Luck!

You are very young to diet, and should be gaining weight, as you are still growing.
Before going through a growth spurt, children often get a little overweight, but often this evens out as they stretch out when they grow.

The things you like to eat at the moment are not things that will set you up well for good health in adulthood...you can eat them sometimes, but should eat them not all the time. For your future health, you need to get used to eating some fruit and vegetables. Roast chicken and other meats are good, but need to be balanced with vegetables for your body to be fit and healthy. Corn on the cob is a great start, but wean yourself off the salt and butter...then experiment with other vegetables - pumpkin ? Peas ? Carrots ? Or try some different foods - Chinese food is often high in the good things you need and is often lower in fat and carbohydrate.
About half your dinner plate should be covered with vegetables, a quarter with meat and a quarter with carbohydrate.

The best you can do for yourself now is listen to your body - learn to recognise when your body is hungry and learn to recoginise when your body is not hungry any more. Eat when you feel hungry and eat healthy food as much possible (for example - if you want to snack between meals, snack on fruit... even if it is pineapple every time).
Set up some good eating habits, and an active lifestyle, and you will set yourself up for a healthy life as an adult. Walking with your dog will be a great way to start a good active lifestyle for you and your dog. If you can walk briskly with him for 20 minutes a day, you will be off to a great start.

If you really feel the need to lose weight, do it with the confirmation and advice of your doctor. By dieting in the wrong way now, you can set yourself up for health problems when you are an adult.
