Why is it, no matter what I do my legs still have fat on them?!

Question: Why is it, no matter what I do my legs still have fat on them?
I've been using the treadmill everyday since the beginning of the year, really. I first started doing 15 minutes, then gradually made my way up to 30, and now I do 45 minutes. My thighs are STILL jiggly and I still don't have a slight thigh gap.
Why is this? What am I doing wrong?
All I want is to have nice legs for Summer, and at this rate..that won't happen. I know patience is key, but it's been a few months now..

Answers:

Google "leg exercise " or 'leg slimming exercise" and do specific spot reducing exercises for your fatty areas of the leg. It's great you are working out on the treadmill..don't stop doing that as it is a good all around exercise for your whole body and burns calories which reduces fat. It all depends on genes as to what areas of our body we tend to hold fat. Some have thin legs but a roll of fat around the middle..some hold it all in the hips or thighs. So it depends on your inherited genes from your parents and their parents. Don't give up, but DO enjoy yourself and don't make your legs your happiness. Do the best you can to slim them down and then relax and have fun. Happiness comes from within and if you are happy, it will make you look beautiful on the outside. You look in the mirror and see jiggly thighs..but other people are looking at the real you. There is so much more to us than our figure defects so relax, do good things you can be proud of and have fun!

Hey, consider yourself LUCKY. I am "4'11", 118 pounds and have a 34 inch waist, about 14 inches WIDER than my thighs and about the same as my hips, and can't lose weight no matter what. I have a GIGANTIC jelly belly, which means I can't wear pants that don't have an elastic waist band. I would LOVE to carry weight on my legs.

start running longer. also eat healthy and maybe try using weights. like squats or use a legpress machine. those really work the thighs.
