Question: How much weight should i loose, and how many calories do i need 2 burn to loose a pound a day?
ok im an 18 year old female...i weigh 175 and im 5ft 2in...i have a goal to loose 65lbs...today i just ran on the tredmill for 35min- 1.5mi- and burned 219cal....basically what im getting around to is how much should i be weighing and how many calories should i burn a day to loose a pound per day?

your doing it wrong.

You don't need to worry about running as of yet.

You need to keep your heart rate at 131 - 140 for optimum fat burn. ( This can be done with speed walking) and do that for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins. You will be loosing 500 - 1000 calories per hour.

And loosing a pound a day is very unhealthy, 1 lb is 3500 calories. - your resting metabolic rate is around 1500 - 1600 calories. That means those ares the calories you burn just by resting and not doing any activity. If you add the 1hr to 1hr. 30min plan that will be 2000 to 2500 calories.

In addition, you have to eat right - stay off of the junk food. No sugar, no salt. Drink at least 10 8oz glasses of water per day. Eat whole grains, have a pre workout meal and a post workout meal.

I eat half a banana before and the other half with some broccoli and carrots after.

You should aim to loose 3 - 5 lbs per week. Your goal weight should be around 120.

you need to lose pounds so your pants become loose. Worry about school and english class before losing weight.
