healthy three course meal...........?!

Question: Healthy three course meal...........?
everyone in my household eats fattening stuff and i want to make my own healthy food
so any ideas? xx

Answers:

Well here is just a sum up of what a healthy balanced diet should consist of. Foods low in saturated fats, low in sodium and high in dietry fibre. You should be eating ALOT of veg and fruit, complex carbohydrates (brown bread, brown rice, pasta and potatoes) Lean meats such as chicken, fish and turkey, low fat dairy products (milk, yoghurt, cottage cheese or mozzarella) and in moderation you can take a piece of chocolate, cake or other sweets (comfort food) once in a while but NOT TOO MUCH :' )
Ideas for meals can include:
Breakfast: *oatmeal with honey/fruit/nuts
*wholemeal toast with peanut butter/jam/ cottage cheese/ boiled egg
*wholegrain cereals like bran flakes/all bran or muesli with fruit
*fruit and yoghurt topped off with almonds
Lunch: * grilled chicken wrap
*tuna/turkey sandwich with whole grain musturd, lettuce and tomato
*veggie omelette
*veggie pizza
Dinner: *beef stir fry with veg
*tuna and spinach pie
*brown pasta with a red sauce or u can use yoghurt as an alternative to cream with chopped up veg and maybe some tuna.
*brown rice with grilled chicken and vegetables
*salmon fillet with grilled vegetables and potatoes.
Hope i helped! you should look up a bit more on a balanced diet, it will guide you and keep you on the right track. Good luck! ;)

well start with a slad. or a soup. you cant go wrong with that.
if it is soup i say make your "cream soups" with half the amount of oil/butter (even if its regular) and use 2% milk instead of heavy cream.

now for the main couse.

i would suggest 1 of the following:

salmon, chicken, fish, such as telapia, cod, tuna steak... regular steak thats LEAN and trimmed of fat, ground turkey, regular turkey, lean beef (sometimes lower fat is ok but dont eat to much!!!), whole wheat pasta is good to.

now, for the third course-- do you want dessert or another meal? if its a nother meal make it protein/veggies based. maybe some asparagus sauteed with mushrroms and spices.. mmmmm.., with some chicken chunks.. gosh that would eb great!!!

anyways if you want dessert, i say cake!! you can make your own fat free or low fat cake at home.

if you want the fat to be HEALTHY, use MAZOLA oil in your cakes (the texture is NOT as greasy as you think it will be, it comes out light and moist) and reduce the fat by half. use yogurt instead of sour cream or creme fraiche and a sugar substite (that i dont recommend, but its your choice) if you want.

good luck and happy dining!!

my first advice, stray away from traditional meals ( 3 a day) and look into a 6 meal a day plan. Basically you eat 6 small healthy meals through out the day to boost your metabolism.

second bit of advice. Avoid fats, cut out all soda and cut down on salt/sodium.. try to avoid carbs in the evening/ night (pasta, bread ect...)

bodybuilding.com (awesome fitness site)

Starter- sliced avocado, prawns and tomato with pepper.

Mains- chicken/turkey, veg and rice.

Dessert- mixed fruit with yogurt
