I'm 5'3" and 130lbs, is that bad?!


Question: I'm 5'3" and 130lbs, is that bad?
According to the doctors i should weight about 120 but seems like my body likes to stay naturally at 130lbs. The only way i can get down to 120 is if i starve myself but then my periods become irregular and i just don't feel good.

is it possible that some people are meant to have more fat than others?

Yes it is! Don't listen to doctors. I respect doctors, but that whole weight scale they have is pure stupidity. I don't agree with it at all. I'm 5'3 and weigh 135 on a good day. Usually I'm 140. I could never be and never have been a 120. I've weighed 140 since I was 15 and feel very comfortable with my body. You're fine, don't stress it at all!



I agree with kitty. Maybe the reason why you almost passed out like that is because you are use to eating junk food. Her diet plan is actually how everyone should be eating. I've lived off a similar diet all my life and I am very healthy. So maybe you should take her advice since it's the best one here. Oh and ignore that one lady. Your doctor knows best.

Um wow. You are completely lying. Too much fruits or veggies can't cause an intestinal blockage since they contain fiber. I'm starting to think you didn't ever go to a doctor and you just want an easy way to lose weight without the effort.

You seem totally fine. You might just have muscle. Either way, don't try to change your weight.



130 sounds like the perfect weight for 5' 3" plz dont starve yourself!!

No it just means you don't know how to exercise and diet properly. Cut out all processed foods except oatmeal that isn't in the packets, low fat dairy and whole grains. Your diet should be mostly veggies fruits and nuts/seeds. A female only needs 44 grams of protein which is 6oz of meat a day and about about 2-3 servings of grains a day. So the oatmeal at breakfast and dirty rice at night. Or a whole wheat sandwich at lunch and oatmeal at breakfast and skip the grain at night. Here is what a healthy day looks like.


Breakfast
oatmeal with a tsp of added honey and fruit with a yogurt

snack
nuts

lunch
a large salad with tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers and 2oz of chicken with oil or vinegar based dressing(not cream) with an apple

snack
celery and carrots with hummus

dinner
3 oz of tuna with a large serving of mixed veggies with a handful of whole grain rice.

desert
fruit

exercise
1 hour of cardio with 30 minutes of toning exercises.

whoever said don't listen to the doctor is a moron. They have a doctorate in medicine and she probably isn't even out of high school. I think they are more qualified to tell you to lose weight or not.

My guideline isn't depriving you of anything except processed foods and junk foods. You are a junkie addict and the reason why you almost passed out is because your body is withdrawing from those preservatives you consume and excess sugar. Just keep at it and you will feel better and be much healthier than you are now.

No you didn't do a diet like this because veggies make you go to the bathroom and fat makes you constipated. So you must have had a high protein high grain diet. Your hormones wen't screwy probably because you starved yourself. If you talked to any nutritionist or doctor they would tell you the same thing I did.
