I lost about 8lbs. in the first 2 weeks of P90X. What's next?!


Question: I lost about 8lbs. in the first 2 weeks of P90X. What's next?
As thrilled as I am about losing that much in that amount of time, I shouldn't expect those kinds of results the whole way through, right??

You are correct. 8 pound in 2 weeks is extraordinary, but it will taper off to a slow and steady weight loss.

You will not always have such dramatic losses, but those are some great results though. And P90X is awesome for weight loss. When losing weight or putting on muscle mass, you must understand what "diminishing returns" means. That means that at first you get more "bang for your buck", but over time you get less and less for the same amount of work. (Using Warcraft terms for bodybuilding /sigh)

The first few weeks when losing weight, youll lose a lot, but eventually itll all even out to about a pound a week if you are losing weight in a healthy manner.



Right. The first few weeks always show the best results. But then again, P90X is suppose to challenge your body so you never get accustomed to the workouts so you could see good results all the way through. Just remember that if you gain weight it could just be muscle.
