At your height, that's not fat at all. Your BMI is 21.8 (using 5'9.5"), the normal range is 18.5-24.9, and I tend to break down the normal range in my head like this:

18.5-20: Quite thin, lovely and sylphlike on a small frame but too skinny for a larger frame
20-22.5: Slim and healthy-looking on most people
22.5-24.9: Sturdy, well-proportioned on a medium-large frame but maybe a little chunky on a small frame

So I don't think you need to lose any weight at all. If you've got a small frame maybe you would be okay to lose a little more weight, but if not you probably shouldn't. A better way to think about it would be to get a body fat measurement - scales that do this are available for about $30 and are generally pretty accurate. Body fat recommendations vary but most sources will agree a range around 16-24% is good for young women. You can change your body fat percentage either by losing fat or gaining muscle, or a combination of the two, so you could improve your body composition without necessarily losing weight.



Weight has nothing to do with how fat your are. I have a male friend who is 5'9" and 200 lbs, but he does not have any fat on his body - it is all muscle tone. I also have a friend who is 6'2" and weighs 140 lbs, but he has a ring of flab on his midsection and has skinny arms. Don't worry about weight, worry about what you see in the mirror, or just don't worry at all - your choice. If you want to make changes be sure to evaluate your diet. Eating less won't make you toned. You have to eat the right foods. Stick to green veggies, fruits, lean meats and poultry, fish, and nuts. Avoid excessive grains and starchy foods like potatoes.

No need to loose any weight(BMI = 22.1), if you wanna tone up, just work out a little, or play sports/dance, but you're in very good proportion(height/weight-wise).



I mean your not really fat just if you wanna feel better about yourself then just make healthy choices and ecxersice for at LEAST an hour a day.(;
