Does calorie source matter for weight loss?!

Question: Does calorie source matter for weight loss?
So disregarding the nutrition aspect like how sugar is empty calories etc... Is eating 800 calories of a negative calorie food for example cucumbers(I know that's a ridiculous amount but just for arguments sake) the same as eating 800 calories of say milkshake? How does the difference effect fat gain if those 800 calories are part of your "daily calorie allowance"? Does it make a difference?

Answers:

Cucumbers aren't exactly a negative calorie food; it's a myth that those really exist. Your body only spends about 10% of the total calories you take in to digest a food, so it's not really "negative."

Anyway, if you eat 800 calories of super buttery popcorn, you wouldn't be impacted any differently than if you had those 800 calories from bread or from tuna or from any other source, really. However, when it comes to health, yeah, you're not going to feel your best if you're eating 1600 Calories of popcorn instead of 1600 calories of healthy, nutritious food. However, not having enough nutrients can hinder weight loss and make you even *more* sick.

You can gain fat from any type of food, put simply. Not one type of food causes weight gain or fat gain. It's just a myth. With the carbohydrate thing, you are putting your body in ketosis which causes weight loss because your body isn't functioning properly- it works for weight loss, but it's really unhealthy and bad for you.

So, it doesn't matter where the calories come from as long as you're taking in multi-vitmains... but even then, you won't feel your best.

Hi - the best and safest way to lose weight is to fire up your natural fat burn system, as this system automatically breaks down body fat. A 10 minute muscle building exercise before breakfast 3 times a week will turbo charge this, plus a protein rich meal every 3 hours for maximum results. Avoid pasta, bread, white sugar and canned food as these paralyze your fat burn system, storing fat. Instead eat freh veggies, fruit, almonds, coconut oil. Good luck to you!!!

I'm not to sure about calories, but I know for a fact that carbs have alot to do with loosing weight. Counting carbs in what you eat can really help and balance your diet! I know this isn't what you ask for but I hope I helped alittle.
