Answers:

First you need to find out what is your baseline. Pick a number and jump for 10 sets. So if you pick 50, then jump 50 and rest if needed between sets. If this is too easy, then the next day increase the number. Do this until you find the number that will challenge you. A good pace is about 150 skips a minute. You want to go fast then rest between sets to make it a HIIT workout. Jumping slow is a waste of time. Go fast to make it anaerobic for better results. 10 set of 100 or 1000 skips is a good baseline. Once you can do that then work it up to 1500 by jumping 10 sets of 150. That makes the actual jumping time of 10 minutes plus resting time. They say that 10 minutes of jumping rope equals to 30 minutes of running. From 1500 you can go to 2000 to 3000. 2000 is considered very good. 3000 = 20 minutes of jumping + rest. That would be ideal. But anywhere from 1500 to 3000 is good. Good luck.
