45 min intense exercise vs two hours moderate exercise?!

Question: 45 min intense exercise vs two hours moderate exercise?
If one exercised for 45 min of extreme exercises with hardly no breaks vs a person who exercises moderately (but still a workout) for 2 hours with more resting. Which one will get in better shape? Both are doing same exercises, one is just taking it more gradually with more resting.

Answers:

Well, you may need some rest in between the 45 minute one (which I think is the better of the two). So bump it up to an hour with resting periods in between. That doesn't mean you have to stop, but just go slowly on those rest periods (which should be about 1-2 minutes each). Intense exercise is better because your heart beat is higher which in turn burns more calories.

I've read this in some report of a study about the intensity of which you exercise.

Hope I helped:)

The @ hour moderately exercised person will get a fit body it's because our body needs a break at regular intervals. Vigorous exercise of 45 minutes will be more tiring than building body. You will be so exhausted after vigorous exercise that you may fall unconscious. Resting while exercise helps to maintain our mental balance, our brain will be more active after a break. This will create energy to do the work even better. Hope my message is conveyed to you.....

depends what you want, if you want endurance do longer moderate/low intensity if you want speed and fast twitch fibres like the sprinters in the olympics do like 20minutes high intensity exercise with intervals
