What would happen if I only ate...?!

Question: What would happen if I only ate...?
What would happen if I only ate fruits and vegetables and drank tons of water for one week? How much weight would I lose?

Answers:

I used to do that (: But, I would only eat negative calorie foods, like apples, blueberry's, raspberry's, peaches, celery, cabbage etc. Because negative calorie foods burn more calories when digested than they contain, you can really eat as much as you want. If you google for a list of negative calorie foods you will find them, as I can't remember all of them. I lost 12 pound in one week from only eating negative calorie foods haha, and I cheated once!
If you eat fruits and veggies that aren't negative calorie, I'm sure you will lose around 3-6 pound a week. I've never tried it, though.
Remember, only eat fresh stuff! Canned fruits and vegetables are terrible and have a lot of extra calories from additives like sugar.
Hope I helped.T.x.

Actually not much if any and you would put on weight after the diet stops. It would not give your body essential nutrients which would cause your body to go into starvation mode in an attempt to ensure survival. This will lower your metabolism causing weight to be lost slower. This is why people who are anorexic take a while to lose weight and have to eat less cause they put on weight so it's a vicious cycle. You will miss out on some Vitamins and minerals and most importantly, Proteins. This is why a balanced diet and exercise is the best way to lose weight. It may seem like a hard thing to do but as gaining weight is a vicious cycle, losing is a beneficial cycle because one pound of muscle requires more energy to maintain than one pound of fat. So once some weight is lost and muscle is built, this, in turn burns more fat. This is why muscular people can eat more. But you have to stay active to keep muscle in good shape otherwise the body will think the additional muscle is unnecessary an a waste of energy and stop maintaining it.

Fruits are full of fructose (a type of sugar)... although it is natural you can still develop diabetes II if that is all you eat. Vegetables are pretty great things to include in your diet daily. Too few people get enough vegetables. Although veggies contain carbohydrates, I would seriously recommend including some grains which are higher in carbs... (Carbohydrates breakdown into glucose which is the main source of energy for your body's cells and the ONLY source of fuel for your brain and nervous system [which is why extremely low carb diets are so dangerous]). Some healthy carbs are home-cooked oatmeal (NOT INSTANT!) and brown rice. If you are working out I would seriously suggest you eat some meat protein. Chicken is great! I actually would choose chicken over turkey.

If your current fluid intake does not consist of solely water, then chances are when you do switch to water only you will bloat and your water weight will go up (so you will weight more during the week). thats not to say you aren't getting healthier. If you continue to drink only water and get past the bloat the weight will water weight will drop.

Switch to water, eat those veggies and fruits, healthy unprocessed grains and some white meat protein.
It is hard to eat clean, which is why so many people don't and are overweight, but good luck to you! I would recommend making small changes to make the lifestyle change to your diet permanent and not just a passing fad.

It really depends on how MUCH fruits and veggies you eat. If you normally eat 2000 calories worth of candy, cake and ice cream a day, and then start eating 2000 calories of fruit a day, then you won't lose anything. All you have to do is count calories and eat way less than you would on your normal diet, then I would estimate you might lose 1-2 pounds in a week.

You would probably loose at lease -10 pounds, maybe more. But its not healthy because of a couple reasons. Your blood pressure would go down which is bad because your only eating fruit and vegetables and you at least need some sugar. Also, you could over-dehydrate yourself if you drink to much water. So I would recommend you to eat the same way you are now, if its not junk food. If you want to be healthy, at least eat a fruit and 2 servings of vegetables a day and you can be find. (: Hope I helped!

nobody can say how much weight since every persons body reacts different on "diets" / food

also that isnt very smart since u need beef or other meat products for your body

used to be obsessed with diets and stuff too
