Question: 20 year old Testosterone Levels?
Hey, Im 20 years old an I got my blood tested last year and my total testosterone levels were 427 ng/dl. I just got them tested again and I measured a 460 ng/dl but the test results say that my free testosterone percentage is 28%. So my free testosterone levels are 128.8 ng/dl. The mean was aruond 12 % with a Standard deviation of 3 or so .So 28% seemed really high to me.
Is that high considering the level of my total testosterone? Im only curious because my dad has battled low T for a long time and i dont want to have to. Im also very into exercising and lifting weights so i really want my hormones to be optimal for gaining muscle mass.

At 20, you don't need to worry about it. Real low t is unusual. It is usually a result of an underlying illness. It often occurs in men who THINK they have it and treat themselves with supplements like androgel that end up suppressing the natural production of andgrogens.
If you are not taking any hormones or steroids or weird "dietary supplements" and your levels are normal for you, just enjoy it while it lasts. Or maybe you have cancer.
If you must, ask a doctor, as there are many things that can influence these levels.
