am i over doing it on exercise?!


Question: Am i over doing it on exercise?
I do the EA active 2 for the kinect, for 20 minutes( give or take a few) on sundays, wednesdays, thursdays, and saturdays. Its a mixture of a little bit of everything- includng running, squats, jumps, bicep curls, crunches, etc..
Would it be crazy if I added yoga or pilates to do on the days I don't use the kinect? To help with my flexibility and breathing?

I'm really wanting to get into yoga or pilates and to exercise everday.

I'm not wanting to lose weight, just tone my muscles up and working on my breathing.

Answers:

20 mins per day is ok, but you could do more, even double that for a good workout. so doing 40 mins every other day would be better, and still not overdoing it.

by all means do the Yoga and/or pilates too. Even one session of each per week will help you in ways you can only discover by doing them!

To work on your breathing you'll need to do more reading up on the topic.

That's not too much at all! In fact, it is recommended that we do at least 45 minutes of exercise every day, or even more is better (but obviously not too much!) lt wouldn't be crazy at all, l add aerobics, steps and body combat into my gym routine and my muscles are definitely starting to show! Good luck.



Look up exercises that tone your muscles. Then see if the exercises are on the kinect.Then do them. And if your exercising you'll end up losing at least a little weight. Go ahead and do yoga it relaxes you A LOT! (I do not like pilates). And don't do sooo much running.



20 minutes a day? That's definitely not too much. Adding yoga or pilates would be good, I would say.



That sounds perfect. The only reason to stop is if you feel pain in your muscles.
