If I do 100 sit ups, and 25 push ups a day, will i get ripped, and when?!

Question: If I do 100 sit ups, and 25 push ups a day, will i get ripped, and when?
I am 15 years old, 145 pounds, and 5'9 1/2. I am in very good shape, and have no fat. I am very fit, and you can see my six pack. How long will it take for my muscles to be defined, ripped and buffed, is there any othe exercises i can do? (no weights) thnx

Answers:

As opposed to common belief you CAN get ripped with only bodyweight exercises not very buffed though. Cut the sit-ups to 50 or so, up the push up to 100 or more, add in back hyperextension on ground or SUPERMAN, pull ups and squat jumps. Its important to add back hypers if you are doing that many situps or else, you'll develop muscle imbalanceand end up hurting your back. Also, doing only push ups and no pull ups also cause muscle imbalence around shoulders.

Ripped actually is the amount of fat you carry. More fat=less ripped, less fatmore ripped. But I guess you need more muscle mass to become significantly more visibly ripped and buffed. Eg, a akinny guy is always ripped but he doesn't look great, a bodybuilder is ripped but muscular and hence we call him ripped.

If you want to get a six pack, here are a few ab exercises you need to check out:

1. Planks: Overall, these will help shred your midsection, but also help your posture. Exercises like sit-ups destablize the spine overtime, and should be avoid. Since this is an isometric exercise, you can do this every day or every other day. Try and work your plank time up to 2 minutes.

2. Leg lifts: This is really help define your lower ab region. This is responsible for the "v" everyone wants. Do 3 sets of 20, every other day.

It seriously depends on your diet. You won't get ripped unless you have a strict diet to follow (or somehow have a fast enough metabolism to burn off everything you eat).

If you already have a 6 pack it wouldn't take that much to define it. Honestly what would help though is if you used weights. If you stress your abs enough they'll shred on the molecular level and be built up bigger next time (you probably know that). This is why I would suggest using weights - anything you can find. Doing the same workout day in and day out will make your body accustomed to it, and you'll stop tearing those muscles as much as you once were. If you don't have weights you could use some heavy books or even water bottles. Just hold the books or bottles behind your head when you do situps and your abs will get more ripped up. Stay at it and after 3 weeks you should have more definition.

I'm really into muscle building.

You'll want to try crunches. Crunches are way better than sit ups, as 'sit ups' are bad for your back and Crunches target more areas. I was doing a ab isolation workout by Carmen Electra and i did pushups and bicycle crunches everyday. I was doing quite alot and i was skinny and fit. You notice the difference very quickly (weeks) i stopped around 6 weeks as i had hit my goal look which was toned, defined and the muscles were very hard. Hope that helps :)

If you are already strong and "in very good shape" then you should be doing some of these already. Anyway there is something about technique that will pay off the best. Do your 25 push-ups and 100 sit-ups, but always make them more difficult if you want to see more results. Things like added weight, concentration type reps, splitting the exercise into 3 parts and only concentrate on that part. Use the last one if a certain area of the exercise is weak, to make it stronger. Remember young Padawon The more difficult you make the push-up the more its worth, You've made it when you can do a one-handed push-up Bruce Lee style.

You will not get define arm mucsles by just doing 25 pushups and i know u said no weights but those are the best way to get define arm muscles i just turned 14 this week i have been doing weights since november and have very define arm muscles

Try lifting as well
