What is the fastest way to get your calves BIG?!

Question: What is the fastest way to get your calves BIG?
I'm talking about calf muscles. Some say to do squats, but I feel squats only work the thigh muscles. When I do a sort of tip-toeing exercise, that's when I feel the calf muscles being worked on.
Am I wrong?

I'm not athletic but it seems my calves are unusually thin. Other guys who are also not athletic have more shapely calves.

Answers:

train them under a calf raise station for heaviest weihgt you can heave for 10 reps full range and try to squeeze out 12-15 per set for 3 sets every 3rd other day. You can also try donkey calf raise with a partner if you don't have calf station. or try using a weighted barbell on your shoulders or try using heavy dumbells.

Keep your knees semi-locked, your glutes tight, use full range of motion as long as possible then go for 2-5 partials. After 12-15 reps do some body weight tip-toes.

Most likely you should increase your caloric intake with HEALTHY calories. From my experience whenever I lose weight my calves will get smaller as well. So not eating enough calories will definitely hinder your progress if attempting to enlarge calf muscles. Squats would target thighs more, do some more research on google perhaps for calf muscle exercises. Wish you luck!

Personal experience.

Calves are a hard area to hit. You can see pro body builders that wont have super big calves. The tip toeing exercise works well. Try it with your feet facing outward (heels close together), inward (toes together ), and forward (equal distance ) to get nicework out of various parts of your calves. Get big!
