I'm 13(girl), about 5'6'', and my lowest weight in awhile ha!


Question: I'm 13(girl), about 5'6'', and my lowest weight in awhile has been 175lbs.?
I want to get down to about 120-125 by high school next year... (age 14) I'm tired of being disgusting :/ so I used an online calorie calculator thingy, and it said I'd have to get all the way down to 817 calories a day?! that's not healthy, is it? or is it okay since I'm so damn fat? hahaha. If it's not enough, what the lowest I can go? I'm very motivated and I plan on doing plenty of physical activity over the summer and such.
oh & please don't leave some kind of dumbass degrading answer, it's not like I don't give that to myself enough on a regular basis.

I don't think you should cut down 817 calories a day, calorie counting can be a dangerous thing, don't worry about the calories so much, maybe cut it down to 1000 calories or so, keep it at a healthy range for your age, instead concentrating on eating healthy food, lots of fresh fruit and vegies (2 and 5 a day). Avoid fatty foods and excess sugar and you will be well on your way.
You also need to combine this with aerobic exercise, it doesn't need to be strenuous (definitely nothing like what you see on the biggest loser - that can be dangerous), light walking for half an hour a day, maybe light swimming sets, and doing body weight exercise (sit ups, push ups that kind of thing) will be what is best for you.
Also try have more confidence in yourself, it will help, you are already trying to do something to help your self, more than what so many people ever do, your young and its good to see you can recognise what you need to change in your life. Just don't go over board because you will just be harming yourself, to make a proper change you need to change your lifestyle and the best way to do this is to make it still enjoy yourself, don't torture yourself particularly with exercise because it will just put you off it,



Well I'm turning 16 April 6. I'm 5'3 and i weigh 137 pounds. I exercise and eat healthy. You would be anorexic if you tried that. Just get to 140s range.



817 is way to little for a growing teenage girl you should be having around 1800 - 2000 calories a day (assuming your exercising) Im 14 height 171cm and i started at 57kg (dont no what that is in lbs) and i am now 53.1 and trying to get to 50kg and so i am eating around 1200 - 1600 a day but that includes exercising most days.
Make sure you have a big healthy breaky i have normally yogurt fruit salad and brown bread witavocadodo so i am full till lunch and dont feel like snacking then i have a salad with sandwichch and dinner what evers served if i am still hungry i will have fruit to check my calories i use calorieking and its great.

Cut out as much pop and sugar as possible you can lose a lot of weight just from that and eat more calories before you eat a meal drink 2 glasses of water it'll give you more of a full feeling and cause bread to expand in your stomach keeping you fuller longer also eat every time you're hungry sounds crazy i know but it helps your digestive tract and also causes your body to burn more calories try excersizing at least 30 min a day start off small in the beggining if you're not used to excersizing and gradually increase and change to more difficult things also try drinking more water through out the day it helps a lot



Seeing as though you seemed determined and you really want this, I'm sure you can do anything to get yourself down to the weight you want. However, a lot of people know that people who lose a lot of weight, can gain it back quickly.

The BEST advice I can give you: Refrain from eating sugar and cut down on carbs such as rice, bread, and potatoes. Doing this will GUARANTEE you to lose weight. Especially if you refrain from eating sugar. This will definitely boost your metabolism and help you lose weight and KEEP IT OFF. My friend has been doing this and she has lost a total of 42 pounds from December until now. Also, if you are willing to do some exercise during the summer to help, that will help you even more. Just refrain from eating sugar as much as you can and substitute honey instead and don't eat carbs when you can. You will lose a lot of weight healthily. Don't listen to those calorie counter stuff. Eating 817 calories a day is NOT HEALTHY.

If you stick to eating more meats, vegetables, fruits and nuts, you will get rid of any type of stomach you have as well as lose weight in a healthy manner.

Hahah idk how u look like but I'm sure u don't look disgusting :) 817 calories? Soooo not healthy u atleast want to consume 1200-1500 per day if u wanna lose so weight the healthy way...exercise and eat rite drink plenty of water!!!! And you'll shed those pounds in no time :)

Btw if u have an touch I really recommend the app "Lose it!" it's like a food journal and you can write down everything u eat keeps track of your calories and how many you should consume to lose the weight u wanna lose! I got the app and it helped me shed 7 pounds in 2 weeks :)
