Why did I gain weight on my diet?!


Question: Why did I gain weight on my diet?
SO usually i eat 1,000 calories a day and exercise 3 hours everday.
Last week, for 7 days I ate 500 calories everyday and still exercised 3 hours everyday.
I lost about 2 pounds. Then the next day I was invited to a restaurant and ate mexican food about 1,500 calories !! so i ate nothing else the whole day.
NExt day i checked my weight and I gained 700 grams! Why is that?
when i was on my 1,000 calorie diet, and ate on a Sunday I NEVER GAINED ANY WEIGHT!
So im confused, plus my sister is dieting and eats 500-600 calories a day and exercises 1-2h ours everyday and she went to the mexican restaurant , next day she lost 200 grams! so im confused.

if this matter, were both females, 19,(twins), im 166cm 54.4kgs:( and she is 162cm 54.4kgs also

BTW, im going back on the 1,000 calories diet because I figured I probably gained this weight because going from 500 everyday to suddenly 1,500 calories is a lot ! but my sister lost 200 grams! SO CONFUSED! and my period is 2 weeks away so thats not it.

you gained weight because you STARVED your body by only eating 500 calories when you do that your body takes every bit of food you give it and store it as fat as much as it possibly can because you have it scared that it's not going to get food so it stockpiles as much fat as possible!!! only eating 500 calories a day is REALLY unhealthy!!!

see,u need to have balenced food w/out many calories like w/out fat and sweat dish,u don,t have to starve.pl b sensible,have small meals on different interval, 6 small meals in a day.bcoz if u ll starve urself than ur metabolism will slow down,scondly no need 4 exercise so long,u sd try different workout on different days,try home made food.



500 calories isnt starving your body!! im chubbyish and i only eat 500 carbs a day!!



You guys are on your way to some serious health problems.

First of all, eating 500-600 cals/day is just insane. 19yo's don't need to resort to starvation diets to lose weight.

You're also not very heavy and don't have much to lose.

Variations of ~1kg are very normal; the amount of water in your kidneys at any given time will weigh that much! You need to weigh an average over time. Any weights of less than 1kg are meaningless.

You two need to educate yourselves on this. You're on an unhealthy road and have all the wrong priorities.
