iam brisk walking everyday for an hour since last 8 days. so far i have lost 2 pounds. half a kg.
my target weight loss is 3 kg. i am not minding my diet too much. i had a day break of diet in the week as well. i am having brown bread, cereal, wraps, chicken, fruits etc.

is this enough? will it help?

Answers:

YES! I used to take a brisk 35-minute walk at least 4 days a week after dinner... and after a month, I started to noticed that I kept slimming down. It was amazing. The diet change you mentioned is good too! But once you do start walking, you'll WANT to eat healthy anway. Walking is a great way to lose weight :)
* also make sure the brown bread says "100% whole wheat"

good luck!

The exercise is great. But you still have to mind what you eat. Most people think of a diet as cutting a lot of calories. That really isn't what it needs to be. There are some foods to avoid--but they are ingredients in so many boxed and processed food, those are refined sugar and processed flour. Jillian Michaels of the TV series Biggest Loser, is the author of the book Master Your Metabolism Cookbook. She has a list of lots of fat burning foods, and the recipes that use them. Jorge Cruise has a big list of belly fat burning foods in his book, The Belly Fat Cure. You really can slim down just by the foods that you eat, and not necessary needing to cut a bunch of calories. losing weight is a simple calculation - eat fewer caloried than you expend through daily activities. If you walk and eat more - you won't lose - if you walk and eat the same you will. Terri Jo Lorz

Your diet plus exercise is going to help a lot more. But yes, it should help some. Best of luck.
