How do I prevent myself from binge eating every weekend? HELP!?!

Question: How do I prevent myself from binge eating every weekend? HELP!?
here's the quick and dirty. I use to be fat, 5'8 and 188lbs I had been fat for my entire life (I'm 19 now), I then made my own plan to lose weight which I did, my lowest was 127 where I was weak and a skinny version of my fat self. I now workout 4 times a week I currently weigh 152lbs, and the rise in weight from 127 to 152 was over the course of about a year and a half. my best state, in my opinion, was when I was 140lbs and around 7% bodyfat. here is the thing. along with my workout (which I am extremely compulsive over), I eat healthy but recently I've had out of control biinges on Friday, regret it on Saturday, and do it again on sunday, not even good tasting food, just as long as it was loaded with carbs and/or fat. the jump from 140 to 152 is greatly due to my binge eating as I gained that 10lbs over the course of like 2 months, my abs are way less visible, and I feel like I'm falling down a f***ing hill of failure and I can't get back to where I wanted to be. every week I tell myself it will be different but it never is. how can I gert away from these binges to get myself back on track?

I think the first thing to look at might be getting out of the house and filling your schedule with FUN, active things to do. Make yourself accountable to someone. Binges usually take place at home, in private, in isolation. If you break that habit/cycle and change it up, the external triggers will be removed, AND if you make yourself go out with people and do fun things, there will be a built-in reward. Have you considered either entering therapy for compulsive over-eating, or joining a support group for same? For some people, this can be an invaluable aid to their getting healthy and staying that way.

I have often thought that binging is about the body's search for mega nutrients, such as trace minerals and rare earths, from foodstuffs that are essentially empty of any nutrition whatsoever because either they were grown in soils that are devoid of nutrients or manufactured without any nutritional value in the first place. FILL your diet with things such as garlic, leeks, onions, scallions, shallots (all very high sources of germanium and sulphur cmpds.), yams and sweet potatoes, strawberries, citrus, peppers, peaches, plums, aprictos, cherries, sprouts, lettuces, radishes, carrots, tomatoes, brassicae family veggies such as broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels' sprouts, canteloupes, greens of all types, fish, organic free-range, farm-raised poultry and eggs, organic grains and beans, seaweeds and miso soup, tofu, bean soups, grain pilafs--all foods that you have to make from scratch. When people binge, it's usually on ready-made foods that offer instant gratification and are high in either fats or sugars, or both. Make a deal with yourself that a) before you engage in a binge that you'll call someone to intervene, or to at least talk about what's going on for you, especially emotionally, and that b) while no food is a forbidden food, that if you want a dessert or something "junky" like chips, that a) You have to make it/bake it from scratch yourself, and ONLY from the healthiest ingredients, b) you have to invite people over to share it with you, and c) if it's something like chips, you have to eat it with both lots veggies and healthy low-fat dips, and some protein. You sound worried, afraid and alone. You also sound like you worked very, very hard and in a most dedicated way to lose the weight you did and to regain your health. NOW is the time to deal with these issues, (and I think you know that), before you put all the weight you lost back on, so kudos to you for trying to begin to deal with it here. Reaching out for help, for love, support, for advice is a REALLY positive sign! Please continue to be good to yourself, and to be kind to yourself!!! Even tho' you didn't directly speak about it, I'm hearing "anxiety" and "emotional eating" here, eating to fill the 'holes", so it's really important to know what your triggers are, what sets you up to go on a binge in the first place, and to find replacements that take you away from your triggers and fill those empty places instead with healthy things!!!

I've just read your edits, and so one other thing: While people often go on low carb, high protein diets to lose weight, please know the following: 1) High protein diets are extremely hard on the kidneys. 2) Craving carbs can actually be a side effect of a diet both too HIGH in protein, and a diet to LOW in protein, so finding a healthy balance of ALL the macronutrients: proteins, fats, carbohydrates, water, is what's important here. Imbalance simply creates further imbalance. If you look at an entire diet as a range with a pendulum over it, you have at one end all the yang, or contractive, heating/warming buildup foods such as salt, meats, eggs, poultry, fish, miso, tamari, shoyu, hard, aged cheeses, then the mid-range foods such as most grains, beans, root vegetables, then ground vegetables like squashes, then the above ground or bush vegetables, and then, in roughly this order to the more expansive, cooling, juicy, consciousness-expanding or more yin things such as fruits, then alcohol, then most drugs. This is to say that the more you eat on the yang side of the spectrum (ie high meat, eggs, fish, poultry, salt, cheese consumption), the more that will drive you to want sugar, desserts, alcohol, drugs. Most people do not know about this, the energies of food, and so end up eating blindly, thinking they're doing something okay for their bodies when what they are actually doing is setting themselves up for massive cravings and pendulum swings in their diet. Concentrate on the middle path, away from the extremes and see if that doesn't help you out a LOT, combined with staying active. Get a book called Staying Healthy With the Seasons, by Elson Haas on Amazon. See if it doesn't help you! It's pretty fascinating reading, too!

dont binge, you need at least 1200 calories a day or your body will automatically start storing calories into fat

hello, I have been having a diet situation since forever. I tried a ton of stuff but nothing worked. Till I stumpled upon these tips, I had my doubts at first. There was little change for the first week, but I was amazing. After going through that initial stage, which was so uplifting, I worked on developing good diet to maintain my result. I couldn't be happier. Here's where I found the info: proloseweightnetwork.tk

* Eat short meals in regular intervals than one heavy meal
* Start your meal with salads and soups which will cut down the intake of your main meal.
* Eat less of pizzas and white carbs, go for whole grain bread, pastas etc.
* Work out regularly, walking for 45 mins a day would also be fine.
* Eat a balanced diet containing more of fruits and vegetables which has a lot of fibers in 'em which can fight fats.
* Eating a lot of fish can also fight fats.
* Do not go to bed with a full stuffed stomach. Have your supper atleast 3-4 hours before you go to bed.

All these would definitely help fight your fat and also binge eating.

By eating only healthy, high energy foods.

changing your diet to only healthy foods is the best thing you can do and will ensure you will lose weight if combine with walking everyday especially.

you can eat how much you like if you stay within these 3 guidelines and still lose fat naturally and gradually. You should lose 10lbs each month on average.

1.eat only steamed lean meats, eggs, healthy fruits ,vegetables, nuts, grains, & yogurt..2. drink only water, juice, & milk..3. walk or do some physical exercise 1-3 hour every day.

(btw, recommend you also to buy an electronic food steamer ((Very cheap)) and a rice cooker as makes it very easy to prepare healthy meals ,,add a bit of olive oil and pepper, spices on top of steamed vegeatables, fish or chicken to add more taste if wish as these are healthy too.)
