Question: Holy crap, I've gained 18 pounds...?
I'm 18 years old and I've always had a really good metabolism... untill now apparently. In the past 8 months, I've gained 18 pounds. I run anywhere from 40-60 miles a week, every week, however I literally have an addiction to food. I eat around 3,500-4,000 calories a day! It's mostly fat that I;ve gained in my stomach, hips, andn thighs... I went from having 20% bodyfat to 25% bodyfat, seriously?! I need to drop this weight in a month before summer starts!
Today I ate a banana, chicken salad on a whole wheat wrap with cucumbers, lettuce, and tomatos, and a large apple. I ran 75 minutes today, about 9 miles.
If I drastically drop my calorie intake from 3500 to 1500 a day, and continue to run 40-50 miles a week, how long will it take for me to lose this weight? Thanks

Ouch...most of us have been there. If you reduce your calories per day...with all the exercise you do..you will lose it in no time.



As you said, that would be a drastic drop in calories. I'd say, with how many calories you are burning, to lose weight at a healthy rate eat around 2300 calories per day.



hello, I've been having this same situation for so long now that it seemed hopeless at the time to try to lose all this weight. I used to take all kinds of pills but nothing seem to work. Until I stumpled upon this website, I was skeptical at first. there was a bit of improvement for the first week, but I was starting to love it.
