Missing a forearm muscle?!
Question: Missing a forearm muscle?
I seem to be missing that muscle on my left arm. Like I said, there is literally an indentation where it should be. Anyone heard of this?
Answers:
You don't have a missing muscle in your arm. If you did, your hand and/or wrist wouldn't be able to function properly. What you have is a muscular imbalance between your right forearm and your left. This is likely the result of being right-handed and using your right hand/arm far more than your left. My suggestion is that you A. use your left hand for everyday activities you would usually use your right hand for and/or B. go to the gym and do forearm workouts. An easy workout for this is to place your entire forearm flat on a bench and lift a light dumbbell bending only at the wrist. You can do this exercise with your palm facing up or down (I recommend both to balance your upper forearm muscles with the lower). Use a weight that you can only complete approximately 8-12 repetitions. Repeat 3 times and do these exercises every 2-3 days. If you're not into exercising, then forget the suggestion and don't worry about it.
